We're very choosy about our Thistle Associate Hotels, and Bloomsbury Park, London is a perfect example. An elegant Edwardian hotel, Bloomsbury Park embodies all the values we hold dear at Thistle -excellent location and facilities, great service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere - and consistently achieves the high standards we set for ourselves. Within walking distance of the British Museum and Covent Garden - and, incidentally, our own Kingsley - Bloomsbury Park blends effortlessly into this elegant and historic part of west London. Inside, though, there's a thoroughly contemporary look and feel to the 95 bedrooms, fully-equipped meeting room, seating 35 theatre-style, and the recently-opened Cellar Bar. A place where our most discerning guests can feel immediately at home.

The Bloomsbury Kitchen is a modern stylish brasserie. Walnut floors, high ceilings and original cornicing help to retain its physical characteristics, whilst the oversized deep red lamp shades, the crushed gold velour chairs and the original canvas art work give the restaurant a modern and contemporary theme. The large windows allow light to flood in as you sit back to watch the world go by. Breakfast is buzzy and vibrant with a full buffet selection to choose from, where as dinner is more relaxed and unhurried with low lighting, candles and full table service for food and drinks. Enjoy anything from a light snack to a three course meal - the choice is yours. Serving dinner from 5.30pm it's the ideal choice for a pre-theatre meal.
Bloomsbury Bar
The Bloomsbury Bar sits adjacent to the Bloomsbury Kitchen. Walnut floors, high ceilings and original cornicing help to retain its physical characteristics, whilst the oversized deep red lamp shades, the crushed gold velour chairs and the original canvas art work give the bar a modern and contemporary theme. The large windows allow light to flood in or hide away in our private booth as you sit back to watch the world go by. Open daily from 5pm, serving a wide selection of hot and cold beverages and snacks - it's the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine and the daily newspaper following a hard day in the office or exploring the city.
Cellar Bar
The Cellar Bar is a cosy retreat in the basement of the Bloomsbury Park Hotel. It is an ideal venue for celebrations such as birthdays, office get together's, family events where the candle light, mood lighting and music create a perfect atmosphere. Include a DJ and a buffet and you have the perfect celebration event. The Cellar Bar can also be used for more formal meetings and presentations where the floor plan creates a perfect break out or syndicate area from the main meeting space. The Cellar bar has lift access and is also connected to the Bloomsbury Kitchen and Bar via an internal staircase.

Good location but...

Location, Location, Location!

We were two young people. Smal but ok room. Nice view (british museum) in the 7th floor. Never ate there, but there's a starbucks for breakfast in the same building as well as a tesco (supermarket) really close. The tube (subway)(nothern-line and central-line) is near. Like 100-200m busses are even closer. The location is the best about the hotel. (Everything else is quite average.) The hotel is in Walking Distance to the oxfordstreet, all the cool stuff as Carnabiey or Seven Dails. It's even possible to walk to leicaster Squere/ Trafalga Square/ Picadilly Circus etc. = about 20-25 min. Walk. Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster, about 40-50 min. by Foot. By Bus (depending on the day and the time) about 20 min. And by tube even faster.

Friendly staff but poor service

Room: The first room that they sent me to was so small, the door hit the bed when you opened it. No chair, no dresser, no room -- I complained and they immediately set me up in a much better room. Telephone: They had recently redone some but not all of their phone system. No one could tell me how to get phone messages off the telephone. Also, when you are on the phone, they charge you by the minute. I was on a local London call for 15 minutes and it cost me $60. Elevator: There's only one, and it holds only four people, and you share it with housekeeping and those giant things that they push around. If you're not on the breakfast voucher system, the waitstaff will be confused and focus more on that then getting you a cup of coffee.

Inexperienced staff

Desk staff was pleasant and tried to be helpful, but didn't have good information about bus routes, etc. Breakfast good but a bit expensive.

gute Lage.

kein gratis WLAN auf dem Zimmer nur in der Looby. Bett gerade 1,6 m breit für zwei Personen zu schmal. Badtücher vom Boden nicht ausgetauscht nur wieder hingehängt.
