Charing Cross - A Guoman Hotel

Excellent location and nice ambiance. You would never know you are right next to the Charring Cross Station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Average hotel, not great. Really small room, but the location was great. A bit overpriced for what it was.

lovely welcome by the staff, however when we arrived in our room there was a very strong smell of cigarett smoke, we do not smoke, the room other than that was lovely and the sofa bed made up already for my son.If the room had been checked they would have noticed the smoke and opened a window! we requested a new room, they moved us and that room was also very nice but the sofa bed obviously was not ready but the porter brought all the bedding with us when we changed room and said some one would be along to make up the bed, this was approx 3pm and we went of for the rest of the day, arrived back at 11.30pm ready for bed to find the bed had not been made up and the bedding had gone! so we telephoned reception it took them 30 minutes to find some bedding and arrive at our room with itl. ~ All the staff were very apologetic and I did mention when we checked out I was not happy and again they just apologised and said would look into this, the deputy manager later telephoned me to say their had been a comunicaon problem between us moving rooms and house keeping! But the room should not have been smelly in the first place so not the standard you would expect from this hotel.

The Charing Cross is an old railroad hotel that has recently received an extensive and expensive renovation. The rooms are stylishly modern with almost every amenity (heated bathroom floors and towel rack, flat screen tv and free hi power wi-fi. They are cleary going green here. The bathroom even has a night light so you don't need to keep it;s lights on all night. One problem though, the bath room mirrors are insufficiently lighted. a lighted ,magnified shaving/makeup mirror is need. Great Location!

Great Location.. All major attractions were within walking distance, and the tube station was just steps away.

Clueless staff, but great location which makes it a steal at those rates.

In short, it is a great hotel. The staff is helpful. The hotel is beautiful. The location can't be beat. But the value leaves something to be desired. It is basically an al a carte treatment. Nothing is included except the bed and shower. If you need or want anything else, you have to pay for it.

This hotel was in a great location close to the train station (under ground) restaurants all over walking distance to museums bars & night clubs. But the hotel lobby and hallways has a terrible smell like dirty socks the decor was dark and gloomy the room was very small for $300 a night and had a very dated bathroom the shower sucked & had half of a glass door so after every shower their was a huge pond on the bathroom Floor the sink was falling apart & needed a serious upgrade. The hotel was not at all worth the money.

It is a great location hotel with Metro below the hotel building and 200m to Trafalgar Square. Quality is good although hotel rooms need some refreshment if they want to be considered as full 4* hotel

I very much enjoyed staying in the executive room there.
