Chiswick Moran Hotel London

A clean and good hotel in a quiet area which is very close to the tube. If you are tourist looking for convenience, this is probably not your hotel. This was not our first time in London. We know that, at the rate we paid, we could only get a 3-star hotel in the town area. We stayed for 4 nights in September 2010 and it was very pleasant. The quality of their restaurant is also very good and price is reasonable. Our only comment is on the shower head. The hotel is using those enviromentally friendly head which limits the amount of water it releases. They had probably selected the most "friendly" shower head. We had hard time getting ourselves "cleaned" and we ended up spending much longer time in the shower!!

We were allowed to check in at 1000 as they had an available room.(That doesn't usually happen.) Comfortable bed. We could darken the room to sleep during the day as we just arrived transatlantic. Wonderful area in walking distance with shops, restaurants and sightseeing. The food was bland and typically English. Would suggest eating somewhere else if possible.

Convenient location, pleasant staff, bright modern room

Great location for Chiswick, west London and is truly 25 mins from Heathrow. Hotel is only a few years old with modern style. Room was large for London, but let down by average servicing. Had to ask for an extra towel every single day (only got one for the two of us), plus replacement coffee. Food service trays left outside the room in the AM were still there 7+ hours later. Internet in the room was expensive at 15 pounds/day. We enjoyed the bar: good atmosphere and wide range of drinks, plus free Internet. Staff were helpful but not really friendly.

Expensive concerning internet fees and high deposits for adaptor plugs etc.

Fantastic rooms for the price we paid (we got it as a special on-line price though, not full price) The location is more gunnersbury thanChiswick but it has a station very close and bus stop outside the door, not much of a walk to Chiswick high road either. The hotel is definitely 4 star and the services were a very high standard. Was a little annoyed that i couldn'y order my own breakfast on Sunday, but the breakfast buffet had quite a lot on offer for £10. Would stay there again.

Cigarette smoke smell in the (non smoking) bedroom. Perhaps entering from ventilation system. Complaint to hotel did not change situation although staff expressed concern.

We enjoyed the friendliness of the restaurant and overall the hotel was extremely pleasant and so well situated for walking and shopping.

Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Übers Essen kann ich leider nicht berichten, da wir immer auswärts gegessen haben. Die Zimmer waren recht schön, wobei mir eine Garderobe zum Aufhängen von Jacken gefehlt hat und ein separates WC. Es gibt TV, Möglichkeiten Pulverkaffee und Schwarztee zu kochen. Es gibt keine Minibar und die Überzugsdecke war nicht ganze sauber. Alles in allem war ich aber zufrieden und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist durchaus angemessen. Jeden Tag bekamen wir neue Duschgel, Shampoo und Bodylotion sowie frische Seife. Die Bar ist nett eingerichtet und bietet eine schöne Atmosphäre, wobei wir mehr in den englischen Pubs unterwegs waren. Man bekommt keine Schlüssel, sondern praktische Karten und davon konnten wir uns die Stückzahl aussuchen. Es gibt gleich eine Bushaltestation vor dem Hotel sowie eine U-bahnstation in der Nähe. Das Hotel befindet sich in Zone 3. Es gibt eine Bar, ein Restaurant, einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen mit Kiosk und ein Subway in unmittelbarer Nähe. Fährt man vom Hotel aus zur Station Hammersmith hat man gute Anbindungen. Dort ist auch ein kleines Einkaufszentrum mit Restaurants und Bars. Zum Flughafen Heathrow braucht man mit dem Taxi ca 15 min und mit der U-bahn sollte man mehr Zeit einrechnen, da man umsteigen muss. In der Nacht fährt keine U-bahn, man sollte also ein Taxi nehmen, wenn man früh fliegt.

Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen.Einrichtung und Lage sind super.
