Honeymooning in London

This hotel was perfectly located. It was right down the street from two different metro stations. It is a short walk to Trafagar Square, many theaters, a ton of restaurants, and many historical sites. The staff was very professional and helpful. The facilities were quiet and well maintained. It appears that there are both permanent residents and the hotel part of the facility. The room was really more like a studio apartment. There is a small kitchen in addition to the normal hotel room amenities. They offer a breakfast for 12 pounds. It was okay, but for the price, you could do better going to a restaurant nearby.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

There are so many theaters nearby, please, please, please, take the time to go see a live show. While there, I saw Les Miserables, We Will Rock You, and STOMP. All three shows were outstanding. They were outstanding productions, great actors/singers, and reasonably priced.

Nice Face Lift

I stayed at the Citadines Prestige Trafalgar 2 years again before the renovation. I was amazed at the change - modern decor, clean lines. The whole place looked fresh and new. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Excellent location

We received our room when we arrived, way before check in time. Great after an overnight flight! Location for this hotel is excellent if you are a traveler who wants to go to famous attractions in London, two underground stops and a train station within a 3 minute walk! The coffee machine in the lobby provided the needed fuel for a day of walking around a wonderful city. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Perfect long weekend stay

The welcome was warm, everything about the room was to our liking and expectations fully met. The location could not be better hop, skip and a jump to trafalgar square or in the opposite direction the thames! There is even a constant supply of coffee in the hotel reception area should you require instant refreshment on your return from time out. What is quite remarkable is how peaceful the accommodation is, slept in one morning til 11.15. Look forward to returning.

Home away from home

I loved staying at the Citadines Trafalgar Square with its clean modern designed rooms and small kitchens and bar seating complemented by a nearby 24 hour grocery store to help offset some of the costs of staying in London with a few meals or snacks in the room. There is a very nice continental breakfast served downstairs, but be aware there is a 12 pound charge. But really nice was the coffee machine available at all times near the front desk for delicious lattes, hot chocolate and espresso. There are also two computers available free of charge if you don't want to bring your own. The location was ideal, an equally short walk from Trafalgar Square with its many shops and restaurants nearby and the Embankment just across from Royal Festival Hall and the London Eye. It is also convenient to both the Charing Cross and Embankment tube stops. Both the walks along The Strand toward St. Paul's and the south bank of the Thames toward the Tate Modern are full of great sights and people watching. Don't miss a service or concert at St. Martin in the Fields Church just off Trafalgar Square. The sound and setting are magnificent. I would definitely stay here again.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Favorite dining spots were Pizza Express which has very elegant gourmet presentations despite its name and Thai Square on The Strand where people dress up a bit for fine dining in an intimate and elegant setting.
