Great location

We went to London to see the musical Wicked. The hotel is a short walk down the street from the theater and across the street fom Victoria Station. Breakfast was more plentiful than some hotels we have stayed in. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Not great

Really uncomfortable bed with broken matress springs. Bed smelt unwashed. Woken up at 1am by loud upstairs residents, complained about it as kids woke up. Breakfast was basic but okay. Good locatipn but Wouldn't stay there again.

Great Location and Great Price

The hotel was located in a perfect location for our stay. Two blocks away from the Victoria Station, you could easily get access via metro (or tube as they call it over there) train or bus to anywhere in the city. It was located about 10-15 mins walking distance from the Buckingham Palace. Restaurants, cafes and shops were very near the hotel. About 2 blocks from it, there is a street that had a supermarket, and restaurants from Indian and Brazilian to Mexican and French. Beautiful location with lots of access to amenities. Wireless internet as well as the breakfast were free and great. The room was a bit small for 3 full grown adults; however we barely spent any time in the hotel as we were out all the time on the 5 days of our stay. I would highly recommend it, for price, location, comfort and amenities

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Ask the hotel staff how to get to locations to eat, but it is VERY close to the hotel and there are lots of options.

Affordable, practical spot.

The lights were out over my bathroom sink - but they fixed them the next morning. At the price of $150/night all-in, it was a find to have my own bathroom with working shower, a decent breakfast, within a few blocks of Victoria Station and across the street from a tavern.

Distressing experience --- bed bugs!

The hotel appeared to be clean at first glance. But after a night of itching and scratching, we found a bed bug in bed. We had never seen a bed bug before. So to be sure, we crushed it and it was full of blood. Horrified, we asked to change rooms. The staff was helpful and gave us a different room. But it was the same story with the new room. One thing we observed is that neither of the staff members seemed surprised at all when we complained about the bed bugs at two different times. So we believe this is something that has been going on at the hotel for a while. But apparently nothing or nothing adequate has been done to eliminate the problem. The first room we were given was really cramped and was in the basement. There was a lot of noise from upstairs. The second room was more spacious and on an upper floor. The location of the hotel is convenient. But nothing can make up for the horror of finding bed bugs in your bed.

Very good by London standards

Do not compare to hotels in US cities. For London, this hotel is great for value and location. Yes, sound proofing leaves a little to be desired, but free breakfast and internet, clean rooms, and other than noise of banging doors if you have some particularly noisy neighbours, I didn't think there was much issue of noise from inside other rooms. Steps away from Victoria station and many theatres and restaurants or places for a quick meal. A great pub across the road as well as a cafe next door.

Great Location, Horrible experience

This had to be the worst hotel experience of my life. When we arrived we were greeted by the rudest man I have ever met, who seemed to have lost our reservation and told us to come back at 2pm for check in. When we arrived, he was no where to be found. We stood there so long that we actually began calling the hotel to see if we could find someone, which didn't work. He finally came out from the back with a plate full of food, I guess we interrupted his lunch. So sorry! He proceeded to send us to our "room" which was more like their basement, when we complained he told us there were no other rooms, so we were stuck. The room was underground, the exhaust fan in the bathroom wouldn't turn off(which we were told was normal, but I don't know how someone would ever be able to sleep with that thing on) the AC made a loud "knocking" sound all night long even when it was off, and our view...well didn't exist because we were underground. We asked for towels twice and they didn't show up til 2 hours later, and when we asked about using their wifi, the front desk attendant(who is the same guy from earlier that day) lied and said he would waive the fee for our troubles. The next day we found out that the internet fee was actually included in our original booking. The only positives about this place was their location and the breakfast.

Great Location- Lack of air conditioning

Great Location close to Victoria Station which made it easy for us to catch the train to the Dover Port to catch our Cruise. Our room had a small air conditioner; however it did very little in cooling off our room. Our room was rather small and the hallways were very narrow. Very pleasant front desk staff. Great free continental breakfast. Overall not a bad deal for one night. The location can't be beat!
