Great Bargain
The Tara was an unexpected surprise. It was clean, efficient, and had good amenities such as comfortable beds and good toilet facilities. Plus, it is well located, and they let me into my room at 10:30 a.m.. I would highly recommend it to visitors to London.

Not quite 4 star hotel
The rooms we're basic, the location was great, but the staff is terrible. I double paid for everything. You'd think a 4 star hotel had free wifi & breakfast - it doesn't. I paid daily for the Internet and parking and then when I went to check out it was still on my bill. I didn't know where the receipts were at the time and I had to catch my flight so I just had to pay again. It's not worth the price. A Holiday Inn is cheaper, has free net, and is closer to the tourist places. I just choose based on 4 star rating, don't fool yourself, 3 stars is just fine.

It was average, everything is for charge , the intenet and even the breakfast for ten pounds, whereas in many hotels of the same area the british breakfast is included in the ocst. This hotel inspite of charging for 4 star costs does not provide the services of a 4 star hotel. Staff behaviour is acceptable but cannot be rated as excellent. Except for the location there is nothing extraordinary

Great Location, all around good comfort
Location, location, location! In the heart of Kensington, just two blocks from the High Street Kensington Tube. All around good quality of service and the rooms and hotel facilities are in good standard.

Great value for money
The hotel was in a great location, very close to the subway and shops. The area was safe, upscale and convenient as a base to travel from. The facility itself was somewhat dated and could use some updating. However, it was clean and has all the amenities one would need. The restaurant which served Singapore food was of high quality and very reasonable in price. Would definitely stay there again. Great value for money.

Good experience
This hotel is in a good location, and the staff is generally very helpful. Close to Kensington High Street tube station. Beds not the most comfortable, but Club room is large for a London hotel. Nice restaurants in the hotel and lots of shopping in the area.

You could do worse, but...
it certainly isn't as impressive as they would like you to believe. Located just off Kensington High Street, a block from the tube, the Copthorne Tara is well situated. Several attractions and both the Earl's Court and Olympia exhibition venues are within walking distance (about a km). We stayed in a club level room. The room was clean, and the free continental breakfast in the club lounge was actually quite good. The staff was friendly, and tried to be helpful, but seemed very inexperienced. We had issues with internet connections and delays in checking out. The in-hotel restaurants are good. The room itself needed refreshing-- all the furniture was worn. Double bed was barely big enough for two and much softer than I like. The windows were quite dirty. If subway trains bother you (no horns, but track noise), make sure you are not on the back side of the hotel. It can be hard to get a taxi in the morning. Be prepared to walk up to High Street.

Transit Visitor
The location is very ideal. The Concierge service is satisfactory. Nonetheless the room is very outdated with worn out carpets and very small pint sized twin beds hardly large enough to sleep on. The bathroom lacked basic amenities. This is certainly not a four star hotel. More like a three star. The location is the main stay of this hotel
