Small room a little dated

A good location hotel (on the central line), at a lower London price, the room was tiny and a little worn, in need of modernisation, the small double bed sunk in the middle, and the bathroom fittings had lost their shine.. Overall if it was not an expensive capital city I would have paid £50 max per night but as it's london it.ll be at least £115-145 a night.. My wife had stayed in a twin room last time and said it was a far bigger room, so maybe worth booking that over the tiny doubles on offer

Good clean hotel

Hotel downstairs is roomy and bright. Good piano player in lounge area. Rooms are adequate, very clean but small. My only real issue was storage. 6 hangers on a wall and no drawers to put things. Bathroom fine, shower good. Location. On top of tube station. So no complaints there. 20 min walk thru Hyde Park across the road and you are at Harrods and major shopping area. Out of the way for West End theatres but again tube on doorstep. Didn't have much dealings with staff but those we did were friendly enough. I'd stay again but it's a 3 star not four.

Room far to small

Really good location, nice hotel, clean and comfortable. I would have given this 4 or 5* but for the size of the room, it was tiny. The double bed was pushed against the wall in order to fit it in, not what you expect from a 4* hotel. If I had paid the full rate for this room I would have asked for a refund. I would stay here again as long as I got it cheap

Not bad

Hotel was in great location, no more than 2 minutes minutes away from the metro and a couple stops away from all the main london attraction. Hotel was clean and had most of what we needed was there. Our friend's room with two single beds was much bigger than our room with one queen bed (we barely had room to open up our suitcase on the floor). It should also be noted none of the bathroom doors (in either of our rooms) locked or closed properly ( we had to prop the garbage can against the door to prevent it from opening). All in all, it was a good stay with comfortable beds.

Brilliant location in London

The hotel and it's staff were brilliant, the price we paid for a room with 2 double beds and ensuite was fantastic! The location was minutes walk from the underground at Lancaster Gate, there was a pub a few yards down the road if you just wanted a quiet drink/food. Talking of food, the choice and quality of the breakfast was brilliant, restaurant staff extremely polite and helpful. The location of this hotel enabled us to quickly access the underground to wherever we wanted to go. The hotel overlooked Hyde Park which was great for a morning/evening walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice Area

Good value hotel in a nice area of London. Room a bit on the small side but could still move around. All you need in room and cleaned every day. Bathroom tiny and a step up into the bath so not really suitable for very tall or frail people. Main downside was noise especially from about 7am from both other rooms, corridor and outside - felt as if window was open even though it was not.

Standard room is tiny

The standard double room was the smallest I've ever seen !!! There wasn't space to turn around in the "bathroom". When I requested to switch to another room the staff at reception were non obliging and dismissive . Will no be going back and will be advising friends to avoid this hotel.

Customer Service = Shocking!

In short - The reason i stayed in this hotel was purely down to the fact it was close to a conference that i was attending the following day and VFM - upon arrival i was prompted to take the option of breakfast - i was presented with vouchers, which i didnt use and still actually have on my possesion! Now when speaking to your rude staff and your incompetent manager.. telling me, even though i hadnt used them, i still had to pay for them? This is beyond absurd. I wasnt offered a refund, just it is a 'policy' that they dont.. I will never travel back to this hotel - my company will never travel to this hotel and I have forwarded my complaint on to complaints team.
