Fantastic Location
You cannot beat the location of the Doubletree Courthouse. It's located at the base of Carnaby Street and one block from Oxford Street and the Oxford Circus Tube station. Just a short walk down Regent Street and you are at Picadilly Circus and the Picadilly Tube line. In ten minutes you are walking everywhere, to Big Ben, Westminster, Trafalgar Square, you name it. As for the Hotel, the rooms are quite large for London especially. A queen bed with a nice decor, a warm wood finish. Bathrooms are nicely appointed with a tub shower (and good water pressure) and marble. The hotel is literally connected to an office building, so you have to pull the drapes unless you want to look straight into a functioning office. This isn't a problem, however, because you're not in London to stay in your room, and oddly, it's quite a nice feature because you get no street noise. The hotel staff were pleasant when needed, however, not overly open and talkative. Again, if you know what you're doing, this is ideal, though when we needed help, they were fine. Take a tip from someone with experience, if your rate includes daily breakfast, or if you feel like wondering into the breakfast buffet, SKIP IT. It's horribly overpriced and that would be fine too, except the food was terrible. Upteen dollars for powdered eggs? You're better off skipping it and walking across the street to the various coffee chains. Overall, the rooms were large, comfortable, nicely appointed and a decent value. When you add in the location, it's hard to beat this place. I did a ton of research and it paid off. Shops, food, theater, excellent restaurants all are within blocks away. The Courthouse Doubletree was the perfect home base.

Good Deal
Staff was A+. Desk, restaurant and cleaning staff were all helpful and tended to all requests. Only downfall was the room location: next to an elavator and next to the entrance of the rooftop lounge. Guests tended to hangout in the common area next to our room. Conversations tended to be noisy but was limited to 10pm. Okay if you don't need to go to sleep early. Otherwise all-around good hotel stay!

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Everything was close to the hotel: tube, bus stops, taxis, Restaurants, shops and the sights. Really good location to save time and get to whereever you wish to go in London.

Courthouse Hotel - London
Great location; helpful front desk, cocierge and bell men. Room cleanups not the most responsive. Decent value in a very expensive city.

Good Location, spotty service
I requested a smoking room but discovered there were no ashtrays anywhere in my room? My orbitz reservation had a special promotion that included a free buffet breakfast. the hotel had no record of this and disputed this repeatedly -even though my orbitz confirmation clearly stated that. during checkout, which took 15mins, they included the breakfasts by mistake!!
