Overall average hotel- Just good location
The only great thing about this hotel is its convenient location near the Tube and 15 minute walking distance to harrods. The room itself is rather on the smaller side (we got a club King room). The bed is by far one of the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. The pillows felt like airline pillows. We requested a room away from the main street which is very noisy due to traffic. The room itself was noisy too. You could hear all the noises from the room above us. The showers were amazing- Great water pressure and very clean and modern. The club rooms offer a complimentary lounge access daily for light breakfast, afternoon snacks and tea. The food was very very bad and the teas and coffees were vending machine style. We only used that service once during our week stay. The only good thing was the free drinks and water bottles. The free wireless internet was extremely slow. I had to call the help line myself 3 times to increase the speed. The water was shut down an entire morning one day because a pipe was being worked on outside the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful for the most part. Overall an average hotel. The rates were low but so was the overall quality. I would use this hotel only if other options fail.

Location, facilities and staff are excellent
Modern hotel with 2 levels of room, we stayed in upgraded rooms. Very modern bathroom, tasteful decorating and good space. Nice breakfast in a bright and spacious room, pricey. WiFi isn't free, but was very fast, able to video chat. The location is across Cromwell Rd from the Gloucester Rd Tube station for the Piccadilly & District lines; direct connection to major London sights, as well as Heathrow Airport and the St. Pancras Eurostar station. The reason I would recommend this hotel and will certainly return again is because of the great staff, which starts with the management. My group arrived late, and the hotel was overbooked, so my first night was in another hotel. I was provided transportation, was already checked in when I arrived, and received an upgraded room, free WiFi & breakfast for the rest of my stay. I also received a personal apology from the manager, and a call before I departed to see if all was well. The rest of the staff was pleasant and always seemed happy to help. Great experience!

Couldn't have been mroe pleased!
This hotel is wonderful! The staff is excellent. It is literally across the street from the tube (Gloucester Road). It is in walking distance of several eateries as well as a local market. The room was very large by European standards and included a bath tub and separate shower. The bed was so comfortable it was truly hard to get up. The Crown Plaza Kensington is a wise choice for anyone looking for comfortable accomodations in London!

pro's: perfect location near tube station gloucester road friendly staff who changed our room for better comfort (kingsize bed instead of queensize) con's: expensive breakfast (if you don't like english breakfast and eat a lot of) no free wi-fi blocked sink for three days, no one of the cleaning staff noticed and fixed by itself
