Crowne Plaza LONDON - SHOREDITCH

Everything about this hotel was brilliant, the location, the two lads in the bar[ well done Marco and Tom],the paper laid on [the Irish Independant] room comfort. The only fault I found was the price of breakfast, at just under 20£gbp was I thought steep even by London standards. Will use this hotel again but will have breakfast elsewhere. Staff were extreamly helpfull,got to our destinations without a hitch

Arrived at the hotel early in the middle of the snow fully expected staff to say we'd have to wait. Instead they couldn't have been more helpful when we checked in and throughout the weekend. Would definitely stay again.

Pillow kinda sucked, everything else fine. Free wifi was nice.

This is a "Trendy" part of London. It is up and coming, and the people in the are interesting. It is very much like Greenwich Village or SOHO New York City, but the prices are NOT. I found the prices to be reasonable, and there is good everyday food here, and a few decent restaurants. I love it. I had no problem walking day or night from Bishopsgate and back. Morning commute down A10 is 20% car, 50% walking, and 30% bike. Have a little extra time... walk a bit further down A10 from the Bishopsgate business area and you run in to London Bridge. I love it, and I will stay here again!, and I like the area. I am older than the "Trendy" set, but they are fun and friendly! This is a good place for the business traveler with work near Bishopsgate. It is a 10 min walk. If you are traveling business, request the "New side" of the hotel. They keep the kids on the other side so you can get some sleep.

A true 4 star hotel. the hotel was as clean as can be and the staff is well organized and polite. It is located close to many artsy, hip bars and lounges, but not close enough to underground tube stations, though several bus routes stop right in front of the hotel. There are two strip clubs within two blocks which just adds to the interesting surroundings. A fantastic, trendy pizza joint called Pizza East is just two blocks away. The pool is not free to use which I think is lame, but didn't bother me that much since I was always out exploring anyway. this is quality hotel overall considering the price.

The hotel is very nice. Contemporary decor and beatiful rooms, great be and bathroom. the room service was outstanding. A litle far from the next underground station but buses are stopping in front of the hotel.

The hotel appears to be recently renovated, with all new furnishings. Bathroom was quite large (especially for a London hotel), and the shower worked well (good water pressure). The flat screen TV was a little small. I stayed in a club room, and access to the club lounge. The club lounge had free bottled water and some snacks (chips and fruit), which was a nice touch. The location was okay. I walked there from Liverpool Street Station (about a 5-10 minute walk), and along the way there was 1-2 blocks that seemed a little less safe, but not too bad.

I was hoping the hotel would be closer to some shops and other attractions. It's a 10-minute walk to the the train station and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel. The rooms are fairly clean. Be sure to bring an alarm clock since the only clock in the room is on the TV. The bathroom is pretty impressive and the tube is huge. Just wished my room had views of the city instead of the apartment and office buildings next door. The concierge staff were the most helpful. Front desk staff proved to be pretty useless when called on. I hope to go back to London soon and I would prefer to stay elsewhere, hopefully some place closer to the great shops with more foot traffic. Otherwise, fairly nice place.
