Good location and value
The Days Hotel was surprisingly busy, had a good breakfast, and friendly staff. The location was fine for us since we used the underground to get around and was close to the Lambeth North station. We were quite early when we arrived and they let us check in, which was so appreciated since we really needed a nap after the flight from the US!

Good choice in expensive London
We arrived on a very warm afternoon in August and found that our room was very hot with no air conditioning. The window only opened about 4 inches, so getting fresh air in was not easy. However, the hotel provided a large fan that made the room tolerable for sleeping. While the room was very small, the room and entire hotel were very clean and well furnished. The full English breakfast was reasonable and very good. I would recommend tihs hotel for anyone wanting a clean convenient hotel for a reasonable price.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is an Egyptian/Thai restaurant across the street (Lambeth Rd) from the hotel. Food is excellent, portions are large, and dinner for four including tip came to 86 pounds--very reasonable for London.

Decent Hotel
It was only a few blocks from Lambeth North Underground Entrance. Most London sites are a short subway ride away. Good location if you want to visit Westminster Abbey and the London Eye. The rooms were clean, comfortable and included a hair dryer.

Good location, clean
It's one block away from the tube (Lambeth North), which is just one stop away from the London Eye and two from Westminster, so it's a great location. The hotel was very busy and completely booked when we arrived, so they gladly locked our bags away while we hit the city. The room had a double bed, no AC, and a fan (which is typical). Breakfast wasn't included in our rate, and it seemed very expensive to buy otherwise at the hotel (£10!), so we ate elsewhere. Internet service isn't free, and is only available in the lobby, not the room. Since we're on vacation, it's not such a big deal, but I wouldn't stay here on business. Overall, we were pleased and would stay there again.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Right across the road from the hotel towards the tube station is a tiny bakery on the corner. They have a really good ham and cheese pastry for breakfast. Two of those, plus two pastries and a bottle drink was only £6.50. Great deal, very delicious, and you are buying the local fare.

You get what you pay for.
This is a low budget hotel, part of the Days Inn Chain. One would think in this day that even a low budget hotel would have air conditioning, this one didn't. No in room safe. While close to many attractions, walking in this neighborhood after dark was unsettling. On the positive side the room was clean and the staff very pleasant.

Great location!
We used this hotel as our base while visiting London 2 nights with another couple. The location was good and convenient to the tube and bus stops. We arrived about 10 in the morning looking to drop our bags so we could hit the town. What a great surprise when we were immediately checked in and given rooms!! The staff was nice and attentive. We have travelled extensively to London, staying in 5 star down to budget hotels. On this trip, we didn't plan to be at the hotel for more than a good night's sleep and shower which is exactly what it delivered. Word of caution: while lobby and halls have A/C, the rooms do not and if you are heat sensitive, summer time can be tricky. We propped the provided fan up by our window. This might present an additional problem if you are a light sleeper as the hotel is on a busy street and near a hospital. Overall, the room worked well and if pricing is an issue at other hotels we would stay here again!

Convenient, friendly staff, clean room.
I spent 4 days in London as my stop over from US to Bangkok. It turned out to be the best visit. The hotel is very convenient, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. It is very close to all the major attractions and entrtainments in London.
