A nice stay
My experience was pretty average. I had a room with two twin beds and I wouldn't lie, it was crowded with two 20-some girls and our suitcases. The bathroom door literally hit into one of the beds so we couldn't open it fully. However, we used the hotel only to sleep in, so it didn't present too much of a problem. The hotel is really close to Paddington Station, which is a real advantage in using the Tube.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Exit right, turn immediate right, walk to direction of Paddington Station and you'll see a Indian buffet dining. The food is superb, with a mere 7.95 pounds per person for all you can eat.

Small Room, Big on Value
Although my twin bed room was incredibly small, and right off the lobby, the value of the hotel was enormous considering its proximity to Paddington station, and the hotel's unbelievably accommodating and courteous staff. I was cold one evening and they searched to find me an extra blanket; they printed out a document for me at no charge; and they provided a substantial free breakfast. All in all an excellent value- I would stay here again.

Don't waste money on a hotel in central London - stay near Paddington station as there is enormous value and proximity to everywhere you want to go by short walk to the tube.

Comfortable
Clean room, ensuite shower. Short walk to underground. Reasonable selection of pubs, cafes, food types in same area as hotel. Room is small, designed to sleep in, quick rests, not for folks looking for US sized hotel specifications / expectations. Remember your in the UK, space is a premium. You get what you are willing to pay for in London.

We enjoyed our stay at the Days
We enjoyed our stay at the Days Inn Hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 11:30am (check in is at 2pm) and the staff allowed us to check in and leave our bag in our room before it had been cleaned. This was great as we were not expecting to return to our room until 11pm that night. Location wise the hotel was ideal for us as we were attending a concert in Hyde Park. It's very close to Paddington tube station. Facilities were fine for us, and the room was clean. Breakfast was continental buffet style and had a decent range of items, including a pancake machine which my daughter enjoyed. We were also near enough to walk through Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and down Portobello Road on Sunday morning which we hadn't planned and were able to leave our bag with Reception until we returned. I would use this hotel again as it was an ideal base for us.

Great experience!
Positive comments: 1. Great hotel staff- knowledgeable and very helpful 2. Location, Location, Location- Hotel is within a few blocks of Paddington Station, which gets you to virtually anywhere you want to go via the Tube and buses. Only 25 mins to Heathrow from the Paddington Station via the Heathrow Connect Train (goes straight to airport) 3. Hotel provided the converter gadget for US gadgets as long as you left a refundable deposit 4. Breakfast was included in rate, which was awesome Neutral comments: 1. Hotel did not provide washcloths 2. Key to room would deactivate daily, so I always had to stop at the front desk. 3. Rooms were small, but seems to be quite standard for the UK. Not an issue with the hotel itself.

Excellant Hotel in a Great location
The hotel is in an ideal location, giving you both the Heathrow Express and the tube accessible from Paddington Station. Clean, small, internet and breakfast available, you can't ask for more. Sure if you want to spend $300 go stay in other places, but for the price this is it.

For 5 pounds you can get a day pass on the Underground to the Trafalgar Square area. Bars, Restaurants, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and Shows in the West End are all right there. So for 5 pounds you can save $200 per night on the hotel

Good Value
Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were very clean, but small. No air conditioning in rooms, but will provide fans. Proximity to Paddinton station made access to Heathrow and the rest of London easy -were able to check in from train station the day before flight and Heathrow is only 18 min. away by train. Many restauraunts and pubs are close by.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you arrive late, very little is open for dinner after 10pm. We found a Lebanese restaurant a few blocks away that served us a fantastic meal.

Good location, a few small flaws
The location was good and the rooms were clean, but the staff apparently kept their storage and supply closet right outside our room. Very early every morning, the noises of people dragging stuff up and down the stairs woke us. Also, our roof was very creaky and the lobby was right above us. Note that WIFI is not included- it's an extra 5 pounds a day. The bathroom was very small. There was a sticker on the bathroom wall claiming that the hotel offered free products in case somebody forgot something (specifying shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, razor), but when we asked the front desk for deodorant, the girl seemed perplexed and said they didn't have any. The front desk staff was very helpful most of the time and always available. The rooms were cleaned/towels replaced daily. The blow dryer, however, was very annoying to use. There is a button that must be held down the whole time you are using it, and it's fairly hard to hold down which results in it turning on and off every few seconds-very frustrating. Overall, we were happy with our stay. If you get a room on the -1 floor with a staircase outside the window, you should ask to change rooms if you don't want to be woken up at 6am.
