Euston Square Hotel

I travel a great deal and have stayed in many hotels in cities around the world. So has my wife. We agreed that this is the second worst place we've ever encountered. The rooms dreary, the linens and bedding are substandard, the walls are thin, making is impossible not to hear average hallway noise, and the bathroom was scary. Our toilet failed to flush properly and after three complaints to the staff, we gave up and left for another hotel. Although the location is good, and there are some nice Indian restaurants one block away, the price, even for London, was far too high for such a low quality establishment.

The rooms are the small size that one expects of a London hotel--nothing special in this regard. The staff is helpful. The amenities are a bit lacking --the lift was broken for the entire two weeks of my stay, and several guests checking out indicated that it had been broken for a considerable time before that. The wireless access only works in the lobby. Still, for the price, it was clean, in a great location, quiet, and overall just fine.

The htl is drab , the single rooms are very small, the lighting particularly in the bathroom is very poor. As a woman who needs to apply her make-up in the morning it left alot to be desired. The mattress was like a rock ,had to change rooms. The closet was so small that the hangers they supplied fit in only at an angle and stuck out of the opening. The shower head was partly blocked and the bath towels were small. all in all I wouldn't stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone. On the positive end, the breakfast was pretty good and the staff was very accomodating.

Great hotel - very friendly and professional staff, but despite booking a double room, the room was very small. Fine if you are there to sleep - but if you have a lot of luggage or you are on business and want to work in the room, then it would be a challenge staying at this hotel. Nevertheless,the room was very modern and stylish, and I would stay there again. Having breakfast included in the rate was great - nice airy breakfast room with good cold buffet selection.

Low rating of facilities and pricing reflects the blatant misrepresentation of the bedroom as a double room when it could not even justify description as a low-grade single. Even for London hotels this size of room was totally unacceptable - only about 9 inches each side of the bed, no chair(s), table/desk or storage drawers. Use of tea/coffee making only possible on the floor! Luckily only staying one night! Could hardly move within room. Had to move luggage (only two medium wheelie cases) every time in order to exit the room or enter the ensuite! This was also a potential fire escape hazard. Finally, taxi ordered by hotel at end of stay to go to St. Pancras was a private minicab (not a black cab) which charged £10.00 for a 200-metre 3-minute journey! Definitely not recommended.

Staff were really lovely, both at reception and in the restaurant at breakfast, very helpful and cheery. We had a lovely room although on the last day the water in the shower was an issue as it was both very very slow and took ages to get warm!Would def stay again, the location is also fantastic for being central as its right near Euston station but we had no prob with noise or anything.

The rooms are small but clean and fresh, the staff were very helpful and the Continental breakfast was excellant. The location is very good especially if you are arriving by train from the north and the bus and tube services are all close by.

Excellent location, well equiped, but no chair available.
