This hotel is excellent value for money, in a good location close to the centre and only a short bus ride to Hyde Park and Oxford Circus. This is a family-run hotel and the owners always ensure that guests are well looked after (0209/VM) A white Victorian building with four floors. The hotel is situated on a leafy boulevard just one block away from Hyde Park and Paddington Station, with fast train to Heathrow Airport and good connections by tube to Central London and the City of London.

All the bedrooms are simply furnished but very clean and have a homey feel to them. Bathrooms are on a shared basis, one for every three rooms. Every room has a television and tea and coffee making facilities.

Ok for a couple of nights stay!!

Stayed here on the 7-9 July 2012. The hotel is below average but ok for a weekend stay. We went down to London for the Wireless festival which was in Hyde Park and the hotel was situated very close which was ideal. There is also lots of local cafes, shops and nice places to eat. The hotel staff were quite rude but didnt have to deal with them much anyway so that didnt bother me until we locked ourselves out the room and we had to look for the cleaner ourself to unlock the door as the receptionist didnt seem keen to help. Having said all that i wud stay again as it is located in a good place and it is cheap!!

hmmm....hostel instead

I started my trip at this hotel to guarentee a good night sleep... it was decent, but the place was very ancient and not modernized at all. the neighborhood was great. I could have stayed at a private room at a hostel for much money and more modernized. The size though small was fine, I just expected less mildew in the bathroom and slightly better kept up.

near many things was an advantage.
