- Just north of Hyde Park, the Bayswater area incorporates both Paddington and Queensway with their cosmopolitan, diverse atmospheres. Bayswater features tree-lined avenues and graceful stuccoed terraces, the wealth from the past being rejuvenated by the resurgent Arab community. Restaurants and cafes offering cuisine from all around the world can be found here, and with the increased prosperity of the area designer restaurants and bars are beginning to open. Paddington Station provides a direct rail link with Heathrow, thereby making this one of the most accessible areas of London.

Clean and good breakfast
The breakfast was £12 and worth the money. The rooms were clean, staff friendly and helpful and the beds were comfortable! Only complaint i could make is that the room was too small. There were 2 of us that stayed there, not enough room for all of our belongings and it was a squeeze to use the dressing table (we're both size 8s so it's not our size!) But i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice stay in London. Quality.

better than most bayswater options, with some flaws
My double room was so narrow that if you placed the desk chair in front of the desk, then (given the mere 1 foot distance between the foot of the bed and the desk), you could not pass through from one side of the bed to the other. The rooms are quiet, clean and fresh and the linens are new. The lobby is handsome. Despite the advertising, the hotel does NOT have wifi in the rooms. It has wifi in the lobby and tethered internet in the room. The internet port in my room did not work, and the staff made no attempt to fix it, despite my repeated requests on multiple days. The staff is generally unhelpful. Early checkins are not allowed, even when it was apparent that there were lots of vacant rooms. Most requests are met with a shrug.

Good location
hotel is in a good location near the underground - hotel reception is ok not great and rooms are not big at all - very pricey hotel and if it is a bed you want to sleep in paying over £100 is a bit wasteful - hotel doesnt really have anything in it to do for recreation and staff can be a bit slow or unhelpful - ground floor rooms are very small and have no real views and chlostraphobic

London City Break
Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights a few months ago with my boyfriend and I've never come across such a small bedroom in a hotel before! The room was tiny with nowhere to unpack so we lived out of our suitcases for the trip. Was very hard for two people to get ready at the same time due to the size. The air conditioning wasn't working and the windows wouldn't stay open unless something was holding it open so it was always very warm at night in the room. However, the location of the hotel is amazing, right in the middle of everything and if you don't mind a cramped room for a few days it is well worth going to the hotel for itslocation alone.

Wouldn't know
My husband and I were booked at this hotel, and very excited to stay here. When we arrived we were told that the air conditioning was out in part of the building and were sent to their "sister" hotel. This hotel paid for a private car to take us to the sister hotel, which was nice, but not what we booked. We were given free wifi and breakfast daily at the other hotel, and it was in a good location with friendly staff and a small but clean room.

Not a 4 Star in our Opinion
We are so sorry to say but we did not find this hotel to be a 4 star quality hotel. Wifi didn't work except downstairs. Breakfast severed too late for any tour plans. No coffee for early risers. Room was not fully cleaned. Dirty glasses left and empty coffee packages along with other trash. Rooms extremely small. We will have to say that the Lobby and the Library and Bar were exquisite and lovely. The staff was as helpful as could be and friendly. They really did their best for us.

Nice hotel in a nice area
Upon arrival my room wasn't ready, but they offer free WiFi, so I wasn't bored for the hour I had to wait. As a solo traveler, it was a nice area. You weren't scared to walk around by yourself and it's close to the tube as well as two or three grocery stores, fast food, a couple small pubs and restaurants, as well as Boots. It's about a two minute walk to Hyde park, which was nice to do when you didn't have anything planned and just wanted to be out. As I mentioned before, Wifi is free to all rooms. During the day it worked really well, but late at night it tends to slow down and you tend to lose connection on and off. The rooms are small, but very modern. They also included a flat screen TV. The bathrooms were very modern as well as with the showers that included a large bath tub, which was really nice. The shower didn't have a curtain, so you'll have to put a towel on the floor in case any water gets out. House keeping came every morning and at night and were more than happy to get you anything else you needed such as towels or if you had any questions Although the hotel was a bit pricey ( but that was to be expected since I came in the summer and the Olympics were soon) I still had a very nice experience at this hotel. It's somewhere I would definitely stay again next time I'm in London.

Lovely and convenient place - only one problem
Our double room wasn't available upon our midnight arrival, so we had two single rooms the first night. In a generous gesture on the hotel's part, we received a (hearty) complimentary breakfast every morning. The location is fantastic, the rooms clean, the beds firm, and the building gorgeously refurbished on the ground floor. The only negative is that the rooms are so small that it's difficult for two people to move around at once in a double room. I know that's typical for London hotels, but I was a little surprised this qualifies as a "four-star" hotel.

Short walk from hotel
Cross the street and stroll around Kensington Park & Hyde Park. On Sunday, don't miss the always entertaining Speakers' Corner, the traditional site for anyone to speak about anything.
