Convenient, reasonably priced
[...] I was visiting London as a solo traveler doing research, and I wanted a reasonably priced, low-frills place that was clean, near an Underground, wi-fi equipped, and in a neighborhood with some decent dining options. The Henley House fit that
bill - it's just a block away from the Earl's Court station, and there are some decent restaurants nearby. My room was small, few amenities, with a shower (shower quality was fine, though it takes a minute for the hot water to come through), had a good high-speed wireless connection, and the hotel provides a very basic continental breakfast (coffee, toast, cereal, yogurt). Perfect for someone who just needs a place to crash. As I was traveling by myself, I can't attest to the quality of the larger rooms. However, my only complaint is that the walls can be a little thin and the sound of people coming and going can get a little loud, though this is hardly the only hotel to suffer from this problem. Staff is friendly, too.
