Hilton London, Islington
Staff was very helpful. Room was cleaned on a daily basis. Clean towels and bed made up everyday during my nine day stay. Very close to tube station. Able to access all modes of transportation. Many places to eat close to hotel.

Great location, great value
Four of us booked a suite at this hotel on a 33% off offer, believing that the price would make up for any slight discomfort we might have with lack of space. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised - two spacious rooms with two comfortable rollaway beds and a king sized bed, with still plenty of room for four women and their many belongings! I was slightly concerned on seeing I'd been allocated a smoking room when we requested non-smoking (via a sign on the room's door) but again, I needed not to worry - the room was as fresh and clean as I could have expected. They had also remembered to leave sufficient tea, coffee, biscuits and towels for four - which you would hope for, but could easily be overlooked, so all round, even better value than we thought. At around five minutes walk from the centre of Angel, with dozens of shops, bars and restaurants, the location was excellent too. The only downside was the slightly terse and cold service from the reception staff, but as I don't generally rely on hotel staff for anything other than to hand over a room key this really wasn't a problem.

If you like Mexican food, check out Desperado's restaurant - turn right onto Upper Street and it's on the left hand side about five minutes away. Delicious food, great atmosphere and excellent value. For breakfast, try the many cafes in Chapel Market - a full breakfast for less than £5!

Lovely Location!
The hotel is clean, modern, and has a very attentive staff (we even got a free bottle of wine sent to our room upon arrival!) But the best part is its location near the Angel Stop on the Northern Line of the Underground, which is a much less crowded stop than nearby King's Cross. It's also right near a busy thoroughfare with cabs and buses, but without the noise, and there are lots of restaurants, pubs, and shops within a few blocks. Can't recommend it enough! I'd go back in an instant.

Sloppy
Disappointing for a Club Room at a Hiton Hotel in Central London. Several light bulbs did not work; were never replaced over 4 day stay. Floor lamp unplugged and not anywhere near an outlet it could be plugged into. Cleanliness was perfunctory. Bathroom lighting was terrible. Internet and printer in lobby did not work--took 30 minutes and 3 people to print a simple boarding pass-and then they wanted to charge me for it.

Very nice staff and location.
Check in was quick and easy. Room was always clean, gave us free bottle on wine.(very nice) My daughter and I were visiting my younger daughter who is living and going to school in London. She lives about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Security was visible. Close to shopping, Starbucks and movie theather and restaurants. Lost power one night, called down and was taken care of immediately. Only problem they did not receive payment from the company I used to purchase flight and hotel. They did not charge my card for the balance, checked with there booking dept and sent me Email before I even got on plane to tell me it was taken care of. I brought wrong plugs they had ones to lend you. Very surprised.

London in a whirl
We were visiting our daughter for 4 days only and were looking for a conveniently located, clean, quiet hotel within a budget. We found the Hotel London islington fit our needs very well. it is very convenient to buses and trains. Excellent taxi/car service. Very friendly staff. Our ONLY frustration was the lack of free internet. It might be a U.K. thing or a hotel policy but there wasn't even a hotel lobby computer for guest use. I was told they are working on reversing the policy. Plenty of great pubs and restaurants near by, as well as the very affordable dining specials at the hotel. We would not hesitate to stay there again ONE CAUTION: Even though the trip was a prepaid flight and hotel, we were required to give credit card at check-in. After I arrived home I had to call the hotel and remind them to remove the initial 'deposit' fee. They did so, but be sure to check this policy.

Always stay here when I visit
Always stay here when I visit London, love the hotel & the Location. We were over seeing a show in the West End, only £15 for taxi to Covent Garden, or tube just down the street. Great bars and restaurants all along Upper Street and a short walk from Emirates Stadium. There were 4 of us in 2 twin rooms, which were upgraded without asking, free of charge. Both big rooms.

This is a very fine Hotel. I stayed
This is a very fine Hotel. I stayed for just one night. The food is excellent, I had room service and the food was hot and promptly delivered. The best part of the hotel was the staff, who are obviously well trained and very friendly. I will stop here again if I can get the £85.00 inc breakfast and vat rate again.

When we first arrived, the air
When we first arrived, the air conditioning in our room wasn't working. The staff sent someone up immediately to confirm it was broken. The staff was extremely apologetic, and during the 10 minutes it took them to assign us another room, they sent up free drinks of our choice. The staff was always VERY friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.
