Heathrow Holiday Inn
Got in very late on flight from Rome, and had early flight to New York. Hotel met all my expectations and was very convenient to Heathrow. Room clean and comfortable.Very satisfied.

breakfast no bargain
While the hotel seemed like a good deal in terms of comfort and convenience, the choice of a 15 pound order in advance breakfast or an 18 pound in the morning breakfast didn't seem like much of a choice. I wanted something light, not a full buffet, and I object to having to pay for way more than I can eat.

My time at the Holiday Inn
Be careful - there are two Holiday Inns in the area, and a cab ride from one to the other is quite expensive. The room clerk gave me a non-functional key, which led to a long trudge back to the front desk and a stony stare, no apology. The restaurant was a bit expensive, but had a lovely buffet, filling and tasty for 20 GBP, about $30. Service was diffident. Internet is quite expensive and even the TV channels weren't free! The Hoppa bus takes you to the airport for 4 GBP which was a reasonable price; cab fare is much more.

Horrible
The first day we arrived we were greeted by a unfriendly staff who seemed to have better things to do that assist us. Upon checking in I was told there was no record of me prepaying for the hotel. That mistake was thankfully corrected. The room was average but at least clean. The staff was none too helpful at any point during our stay. We asked for directions to the underground and they had no idea. Upon checkout when I asked to close out the bill they informed me I owed them a grand. When I asked what for, I was informed that I was charged with a nightly accommodation ex. and tax. I was not informed of this when I checked in, so it came as a bit of a shock. Over all it was not a good experience. I was charged over 3000 dollars for a second rate hotel. Do not book this place.

Pleasantly Surprised
We were expecting basic but got so much more. Rooms were well equipped and very clean. There was a mini gym to work out in. The hotel restaurant was nice and food was good. It was very quiet! Staff were helpful. You buy a ticket in the lobby for the shuttle. Cost 4 pds one way, shuttles run every 20 mins. Worked very well.

Decent airport hotel.
We had a nice stay, rooms are good quality and amenities are decent. Restaurant is overpriced, we walked to a lovely pub down the road, but overpriced food is expected. Lou be area is nice. Staff not overly friendly.

Go to the king William IV pub about 20mins north of e hotel, just of Simpson road for dinner, perfect pub with english and Thai food.

When reservation was made, it included breakfast. In the morning when I went to have breakfast they said it was not included and I had topay for it. I had to talk to the manager about this and they admitted that the reservation included breakfast

Heathrow Hotel
Hotel was very convenient..used the Hotel shutte bus to get to the hotel. Hotel is right next to Heathrow, so worried about the noise. Perfectly quiet. Walked to a nice pub for food.kk

Food Service and Quality
The food was disappointing in quality and cleanliness in the serving area. The evening meal was most disappointing in that the salmon in the caeser salad had been frozen and showed the frosty froth when cooked. The breakfast serving area needs some cleaning and a spruce up. As well the serving staff, tho friendly, may need some direction.
