Room ok, outrageous Wifi costs. . bad pub service.

If you want to be within walking distance of Kensington Palace/Garden, Hyde Park, the V&A and Natural History Museums, and the Royal Albert Hall, this is as good a location as it gets. The Gloucester Road tube station is right around the corner from the hotel on the Piccadilly, Circle, and District Lines so you can get anywhere very easily, including the cheapest way to and from Heathrow (taxi = 60 GBP vs. 7 GBP tube fare). There are numerous restaurants, pubs, bakeries, grocery stores, and shops in the neighborhood. Also, Kensington High Street shopping (e.g., Harrods) just a tube stop away (or a bit further walk). Hotel internet access is not included and is expensive. Also, no breakfast included and no frig in the room.

I was very happy with the hotel which is located in an excellent area with a short hop and a skip to the tube, pubs, and shops.

Very clean and comfortable. We booked through a hotel/flight package and it was a great value! We loved or stay. Hotel was close to the underground station and was very easy to get wherever we wanted to go.

The hotel location is very good. you can access to London city by tube in no time. My husband and I love the hotel, we will stay at this hotel again.

Friendly staff. Excellent location near the Gloucester Road tube station. In a nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants nearby. We had a twin room, it was small but very clean. The bed was very comfy. We had a problem with our drain. It was taken care of right away. I dropped 1/2 star, because the cooler/ex-mini bar should be replaced with a refridgerator. Also, I didn't care for the blow dryer that you had to hold the button down to keep it running. Not easy when you're trying to style your hair. And the shower ran lukewarm most mornings. It was cold the last morning. These are all minor things and I would still return because of the location. PS Breakfast is not inclued unless you book as a B & B package.

Excellent location! Room was fine, nothing special, but very clean. Staff was fine, very professional. Skip the hotel breakfast - way too expensive and watch out for VERY expensive internet connection.

The standard room is on the small side. We had to change the room when we checked in to get a better arranged room that gives some space (or the illusion of!). But I think this is comparable to any London hotels though. The room was well furnished and had great beds and pillows. It also had heated tiles in the bathroom, that was a first for me. It's close to the South Kensington tube station, but in cold weather you'd wish it's closer. I stayed at the Millennium next to Gloucester on my previous trip and missed the convenience of staying right next to the underground station. The bar is good and the staff is friendly. It's nice that the lobby has a bunch of fireplaces to sit next to. Overall I'm satisfied with this hotel, but if you have a lot of luggage and 2 people are staying, it feels cramped.

It was some busy event week in London and we paid a lot ($520/US a nighr) for the stay. The room was small but nice location. If this was much much cheaper then I will come back.

I arrived London sept 11, 2011 flying from Portland, Oregon to Chicago. Staying at the holiday inn forum based reading several hotels reviews and checking for rates. The holiday inn forum just met my expectation with regard to the convience of its location to the Gloucster subway station and tesco supermarket and sevral restaurants, fast food restaurants, cafe's including star bucks coffee where you can obtain a UK starbucks user name and pass word for 5 pounds = $8 to use free wifi in any starbucks in london. Still much cheaper then hotel rate. Nothing is free in London. Forget holiday inn hotels in the u.s when it comes to free wifi Or prices. Tow weeks before I was in holiday inn Redding California stayed in a much larger executive room with 2 queen size beds that takes 3 people for the rate of less than $140/night comparing $500/night in London inclusive tax and breakfast All in all the quality of services, breakfast, cleanliness was fair. Windows were double glazed and isolated the out side noise. But the wall between the rooms not the same. Also the hall way carpet is wary and should be changed. The hotel concierge was helpful in directions and arranging a shuttle to the airport. It's half the price of a taxi and more convenient than the underground with all your luggage. But for theater tickets got cheaper ones from theater tickets in Piccadilly ticket shops or online or even walking to the theater itself like I did for the phantom of the opera
