Only OK
We only stayed at this location for one night of our two week trip, but it was the least favored of all our places. The TV and refrigerator were both broke, but the staff was timely and friendly with repairs. Our room was located next to the tube and was very noisy until the tube shut down, then we had noisy people at three in the morning. Friends we were with stayed at this hotel for a week and did not have a similar experience. Perhaps it was because of our one night stay. Location was great, but I preferred the flat we rented three blocks away earlier in the week.

Grab the tube to Picadilly Circle and see Les Miz at the Queen's Theater. Best production of it I have seen. Note that there are no plays on Sunday evening.

Dont expect to have a warm shower,
Dont expect to have a warm shower, you'll be lucky to even have a shower as the water pressure cant even make it to the hand held shower.

great location... good price
Experience with hotel was absolutely fine. Room was plenty big enough. Room service timely. Cleaning very good. Previous traveler had complained about step down out of tub,...but had no problem with that. When traveling little things like that can be expected. Bathroom very clean and well stocked. Overall had a very good experience with this hotel. Would definetely stay here again. One big plus.......quiet rooms... did not hear anything..:)

A diamond in the rough
Overall it was great but there were problems...with the room. The room was a bit shabby. Wallpaper was peeling. Some lights didn't work and although reported, they were not fixed. Heater-air conditioner didn't work well either. The heat was unbearable. Staff night manager was helpful and tried her best. Housekeeping and maintenance didn't respond to our/her pleas until she tried a number of times. We were offered a free breakfast on the last day since we had to stay up late waiting for the repairs which came...but during the night the heat went up again. They're trying hard but it needs work. Concierge was great plus night manager but overall maintenance wasn't good enough for our expectations..which were reasonable.

Take a taxi to Paddington and the catch the Heathrow Express rather than a taxi all the way to Heathrow which was more expensive and had the risk of being trapped in London traffic.

The hotel staff were very friendly
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice - standard double hotel room! Modern enough and clean which is the most important thing. From the outside the hotel isn't the most attractive but the inside is fine. The bar is a bit old fashioned so we didn't spend much time there. Overall I would recommend it - good location and okay price.

Retired Reg
Modern, American, but a mixed blessing
Wanted something close to Picadilly line-which we took to Heathrow. That was great. Large 20+story hotel. Close in in Kensington a plus, but at a price. Waited 8 minutes for elevator, walked down on surgically repaired knee. Room not cleaned after first night, had to request twice and wait an hour. Temperature control worked fine. Found wonderful restaurant across the street: Bellavista Restaurant at 132 Cromwell was outstanding for dinner. Desk staff was very helpful, friendly, as was the outside concierge. Rooms small, but very clean, everything worked, and whole floor was NON SMOKING, which we really appreciated.

Across the street, the Bellavista restaurant at 132 Cromwell had outstanding food at modest prices, and was open by 5:30 pm--a rarity for England.

Great hotel.
This is a very nice hotel, with nice rooms and a nice pub, about 3 minutes from a Tube stop. The staff was very nice, and the concierge guys were great (particularly Gladstone). The only fault was that there was no free WiFi, but there are free WiFi hotspots in nearby cafes, and in various other spots around London.

Unbeatable location for the price.
The hotel is located only one block from the Goucester Street metro station, in a quiet neighborhood. Near the station are small shops, a Starbucks and a grocery where one can get fruits, juice and snacks. The hotel provides a small cooler. Breakfast, if not included in the package, costs 12 pounds per person. Coffee in the lobby costs $3.50 a cup. Most tourists have their breakfast outside, and there are many places where one can get a full English breakfast (egg, sausage, bacon, mushroom, baked bean, toast and coffee) for five pounds. The only thing we did not like about the hotel is their high price of internet access. It costs 15 pounds per day. Across the street on Cromwell Road is an internet cafe, which charges 1.80 pounds per hour. Near Leicester Square the cost is only one pound per hour. The hotel is within walking distance to Harrod's and to several museums, including the Vistoria and Albert Museum and the Science Museum. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and I recommend it to any family.

Great location!
I was in London for about a week as a tourist. I really liked the Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum. It's billed as a four star hotel, but is probably really a 3 1/2 star hotel, so it's less expensive than most of the other 4 star hotels. I had a room with 2 single beds. It was small, but obviously renovated recently and very nice. Very clean, small but very nice bathroom. I was on the 16th floor, which was very quiet. The elevators are wonderfully fast. The best thing about the hotel is its location, in Kensington, near a number of museums, and only 1 block from the Gloucester Road tube station, so very convenient for getting to many other tourist attractions. The staff was friendly, especially the young woman at the registration desk when I arrived. The only thing about the room that was less than satisfactory was the mini-refrigerator, which didn't keep my food quite as cold as I would have liked. I contacted housekeeping, but they either didn't check on it (I was out of the room most of the time) or weren't able to adjust the temperature any lower. My food didn't spoil though, so it all worked out just fine. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Short walk from hotel
The Gloucester Road tube station is only one block away from the hotel. It's a great station with connections to the Piccadilly, Circle, and District underground lines. These lines will take you to almost all the major tourist sites. The tube station is in the same building as a Waitrose supermarket and a Boots pharmacy. All very convenient. Buy some food at the Waitrose and store it in the mini-refrigerator in the hotel room to save money on eating out.
