Staff very helpful as my husband
Staff very helpful as my husband has a disability (limited walking). Great place to stay and would return agin. One suggestion - (hotel may have this facility but I forgot to ask) to have a "no step walk-in shower room" instead of a bath - this would encourage many more elderly or not as mobilised people to stay at that hotel.

Great Hotel - close to everything
We had a great stay at this hotel. When we checked in, we requested a cot and they had it and our bags delivered to our room within 1/2 hr, even though we were checking in early. Concierge was very helpful from giving directions to booking theater tickets. Underground/bus stops were right around the corner, and Hyde Park entrance right across the street. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Restaurants had a nice selection and reasonably priced tasty food. Got the room for a great price, and would stay here again in a heartbeat

Luxurious 1st time stay in London
Lancaster had a great location and wonderful imminities. Restaurants within 3 blocks and the metro just seconds away. Only complaint? For in-room Internet, you had to pay 17lbs p/day. Otherwise, fantastic.

Don't use "big bus tours" (hop on, hop off), use the other bus company called "Londons original" (?), they had 3 times the number of busses and were never late at a stop.

Very good Hotel, location on Hyde
Very good Hotel, location on Hyde park is good, but the fact that tube station is on the same building make it wonderful Had an issue with the check-in they first asked me to leave as I am in the wrong hotel!! But that was quickly resolved The room was on the 13th floor, and was very big for a London hotel The tea and coffe Equipments were excellent The tv was big And top it all, the price was very reasonable I would definitely come back

Convenient with good views
We spent four days in London and easily walked or used the underground from the hotel to see our chosen sights. On one day we walked across the street from the hotel through Hyde Park with a stop at the restaurant for scones to the Geographic Society and the Victoria and Albert Museum then on to Harrods and back through the park. On another day we walked to Buckingham Palace and on to Westminster. The underground beside the hotel took us to all points of our interest, such as the British Museum, in the city. The room had lots of light and a great view of the park, a reasonably sized room for London and tea, coffee and cookies every day. The bathroom is small, marbled and functional. I would have liked more space. Service is friendly and helpful. Each guest can have 15 minutes free on one of the two computers in the business center or pay a hefty fee for in-room wifi.

Go to The Swan, a 200-plus year old pub just 50-ft from the hotel. Great lunch sandwiches. Pretty good dinner entrees too. Inexpensive and friendly staff. However, not a great selection of local brews.

Great Spot
Hotel is in a great location with easy access to Paddington and across from the park. Staff was nice but the front-end systems need to be updated to allow them to do their work faster.

Great
We arrived distressed because of a lost passport. The staff began immediately to assist us, checked us into our room early, the concierce began to call the airport, US Embassy, etc. We were assisted with directions which were easy to follow when we left the hotel to sightsee on our own. We did find the price of the breakfast to be high. The room was nice but the a/c was faulty and it was hot. Attempts were made to correct it. Housekeeping did a great job every day. The Thai restaurant was nice in the hotel. The tube station was close as well as the bus stops.

Breakfast was served at a little French cafe just across the street from the hotel. There was a pub, Italian Restaurant, and Thai restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Food was good there also.

Perfect hotel in a perfect place, calm neighborhood out of the noisy and busy center. Magnificent view of Hyde Park from the 17th floor.
