London Guards Hotel

Although the elegant lobby promises much, the area beyond and the bedrooms come as a bit of a letdown, though they are very clean. I was very happy with the twin room I was given at the back of the premises, but not at all happy to be eaten alive by bedbugs on the first night. The staff was very apologetic and embarrassed, and moved me to a tiny single room at the front, which was a little tatty, though quite adequate. Because I could not sleep with the noise of the air conditioning, I switched it off and, when it became too hot, kept the window open at night - which could explain why I was attacked later by mosquitoes (though, in fairness, they could have been elsewhere). The breakfast was a basic buffet of cereals, bread, croissants, ham, cheese, yoghurt, jams, fruit and hot drinks including not particularly good tea. A better selection of teas would have been welcome. The best thing about the hotel was its excellent location - a short walk from Hyde Park and the Lancaster Gate tube station - and the staff, who were always courteous and willing to help.

je remercie le personnel pour son accueil, la chambre était très propre d'une bonne superficie avec deux fenêtres et l’ascenseur m'a toujours transporté au 4ème étage. très bon emplacement, à quelques centaines de mètres de la ligne centrale du métro (station Lancaster Gate)

Ich denke der Einzelzimmerpreis ist vergleichsweise eher günstig. Das Zimmer hatte fast alles, was ein Hotelzimmer so bieten sollte (bett, licht, badewanne, schampoo, duschgel, lotion, fernseher, kühlschrank, safe, wasserkocher mit tee,milch und kaffee, kleiderschrank aber keinen föhn) und es hat alles funktioniert. nachdem ich etwas von bedbugs gelesen hatte, habe ich mein bett gründlich durchsucht und zum glück nichts gefunden. der spannteppich und der bettüberwurf sehen nämlich schon recht viecherfreundlich aus. ich hatte kein frühstück. das haus ist sehr ringhörig, ich konnte jeden schritt von meinem zimmergenossen über mit hören.

Vi var meget tilfreds med vores hotellet London Guards Hotel, det var meget ren, og tilpas, placeringen var super. Personalet hvor meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Vi ville bo der igen, hvis vi nogensinde er tilbage i London. We were very pleased with our hotel London Guards Hotel, it was very clean and comfortable, and the location was super. The staff where very helpful and friendly towards us and we would stay there again if we are ever back in London.

地下鉄の駅からも割と近く便利な場所にあります。少し奥まった所にあるので見つけにくかったです。部屋はファミリー向けの広い部屋を用意してくださり一人で泊まるにはもったいない位でした。
