This hotel was adequate for our needs, but I wouldn't stay there again if I didn't have to. The room was spacious, especially for Europe. It is located a bit out from city center, so you must plan your timing to get into the city. The Tube station is about a 10 minute walk. We prefer to stay where breakfast is included, but the prices here were ridiculous. There are other options within walking distance however, including a small grocery store. The staff was average, they did nothing extra to make us feel special. The concierge did help with a situation and he was wonderful to work with. We chose this hotel because we had a last minute idea to go to London for New Years and this one was the best price for the quality. It wasn't great however and if I had another option, I'd stay elsewhere next time.

A comfortable place to stay
It was nice having a clean comfortable room to come back to at the end of the day. The staff was helpful and friendly and answered any questions I had. It's in walking distance of the tube station and a short train ride from major attractions. Tesco's is a block away which was nice. Will stay here again when we get back to London.

Good value for price, Outstanding staff
The service was phenomenally good, everyone so nice and quick to help with anything. The concierges got me cabs quickly, and told me all kinds of tips about London. The room comfortable and room service super fast. You can leave your breakfast menu on the door handle to have it delivered on exact time, or just call in the morning and get it in 10 minutes. Delicious food- you must order their "English Breakfast". I didn't do Fratelli's but the bar is also a restaurant and very delicious for dinner, or snacks with coffee. On site parking isn't cheap but it's convenient to have a garage. Cab ride to Buckingham Palace: around 15 pounds. From there, short walking distance to Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, etc. If you're like me and didn't bring a computer, you can use the small business center; however, the computers don't allow to upload photos or go on social networking, so you may need to take a short walk to one of several internet cafes up the road, that charge only 1 pound per hour of internet use. Do: check out Abbey road a couple blocks away if not just to get a cliche photo of yourself walking across the famous crosswalk- the concierge told me exactly where it is. Do: check out the nearby Regent's Park, one of the royal parks, free to the public; it was Henry VIII's hunting grounds. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and will certainly be returning.

Pleasant Experience
The Maida Vale is located within walking distance of the underground. There are many eateries nearby. If you walk a few blocks in either direction, you will get a flavor for the diversity and lifestyle of the culture and people. The room which was considered Executive Room was quite small. This is typical and very different from the states. The hotel staff was friendly and quite accomodating. I would stay there again. Parking is a problem in London and this hotel had a parking garage which was very convenient.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There was a very nice, quaint Spanish hotel nearly. The setting was perfect for a nice quiet dinner. If you ask the concierge at the hotel, they will direct you there.

Marriott Service Nightmare
staff was very incompetent and rude. They did not assist me in the most basic needs. They were tip hungry without satisfactory service. We place a Do not Disturb Sign on our door, and they ignored it. They did not allow us to print merely one document in the business center without tying to charge us an "internet charge" even though we did not have to go on-line. The room service for food was so limited, and it ended at 12:100am. We will never go back.

Dining tip:
Not Applicable
Get food early, for everything closes early. And the hotel does not offer food after 12:00am.
