Wonderful Place to Call Home
I really enjoyed my stay at Bailey's! I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone who would like to be close to everything. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful in providing information about traveling to and from the many sites in London. My accommodations were excellent.

Short walk from hotel
Gloucester train station stop is just across the street from the hotel. Euro moneychanger is also located next to the entrance to the "tube," Just three stops to Victoria station. The Gatwick Express takes you to Gatwick airport in about 25 minutes.

Spring Break London
Traveled with my 20 year old daughter. The Hotel was literally right outside the Gloucester Tube station. It was great for hopping on and off the tube. Everything was good. Disappointed that breakfast was not part of the room rate. For an extra 12 pounds per person ($18 USD) we could have added this to our stay. No need as there were at least 4 other options just outside our Hotel and much more reasonable.

Convenient Place to Stay
The hotel staff was wonderful. The location could not be any better. Had some trouble with the hot water, but the room was clean. Also, some TV difficulties, but that was not important since we were not in the room very much.

Overall a comfortable stay, with a convenient location.
Overall we enjoyed our stay - getting to the hotel could not have been easier, as it is literally across the street from a subway station. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We found the mattress hard, and two twin beds attached uncomfortable, but when we asked were transferred to a room with a queen size bed with no trouble. many restaurants nearby.

Good choice and great location.
I've stayed at other hotels in Kensington, but I think Baileys is the best yet for me at my price point. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room and amenities were great, and the bar & restaurant were good - not too busy, but not too quiet either. The location is great, just beside Gloucester Rd tube station, with easy walk to museums, cafes, restaurants etc. It'll be my first choice when I go back.

Fine, With A Few Notes...
My wife and I have stayed at the Millennium Bailey for three years in a row now. It is a well-run establishment, the staff is well-trained and very courteous, friendly and helpful. Judy and I got spoiled last year, somehow getting a corner room which afforded a nice view of a very pleasant intersection. We liked that better than this year's accommodations for sure. We were offered an upgrade for 60 pounds more per night, but we thought that price was a bit excessive and declined it. Perhaps we should have accepted it. No complaints from this source! The food was fine, the bar area was clean and well-staffed and the counter staff was professional at all times. The MB has one HUGE advantage over other venues: right across the street is the Gloucester Road tube station, which makes it almost perfectly accessible from all parts of London.

Buy yourself what is known as an OYSTER tube pass. You won't regret this. It allows you to merely swipe a card while accessing the tube's various routes. It will save you money AND time.

Great location, good value
Very helpful staff, free wi-fi in lobby was very much appreciated, and the location is great. Across the street from the tube station, taxi stand, easy walk to many attractions. It was also lively and safe at night. Room was small, typical of Euro hotels, but clean. Bathroom was unusually large. More reasonable laundry option would be nice.

November 2011 visit
I have stayed here a number of times and in general am pleased with the hotel. Great location in Kensington. Across the street from the Gloucester Road Tube stop for easy access all over London via the Circle, District and Piccadilly lines with easy connections from Heathrow via the Piccadilly Line and Gatwick via the Gatwick Express through Victoria Station and connections by Tube to the hotel. Many restaurants, sights, museums within easy walking distance. I was disappointed in not having even a continental breakfast included in the rate. I didn't expect a full English breakfast, but in Europe EVERY hotel offers at least a continental breakfast. That is my only major gripe. They offered a hefty 'discounted' 12 pound breakfast special which we declined and ate elsewhere for much less. Otherwise, I would recommend Bailey's as a very clean, well located and traditional London hotel.

Check at Heathrow Tube station or Victoria Station at the Underground for a 7 day pass for unlimited travel on the Tube and bus system. (Cash or cc accepted). Great value available to foreign travelers as long as you will not be traveling out of London for a few days since the 7 day pass runs sequentially from the first day used. It covers your ticket also from Heathrow to London, although if you aren't going to travel further on the Tube that day, it might be better to start the 7 day period on the following day and buy a one way ride from Heathrow to London to get better use out of your pass.

Good location, decent hotel
Just steps away from the Gloucester Road tube stop and several bus stops. Tons of restaurants and pubs within minutes walk. Drugstores, grocery stores all within a few minutes. Was there for first visit to London. Was with my wife and three year old son. I had no problems getting around. Area was always busy with pedestrian traffic and always well lit, so there was never any issue of safety. I certainly would go back. Only issue is that the Gloucester Road tube stop does require climbing 25-30 steps of stairs at one point. If you have a lot of luggage or if you would have troubling moving luggage through that obstacle then seek an alternate means of arriving/departing the hotel. If you are traveling light or are relatively fit, the stairs should be no problem. The room itself was typically European: smallish compared to U.S. standards but not the smallish I have been in. My wife, I, and three year old decided to share the bed; it was tight but we all slept well. The room was clean, the shower's water was hot enough, the vanity was tiny, the shower's fixtures were different but in the end got the job done. The lobby is a pleasant place to wait for other guests before heading out; a nice spiraling staircase starts in the center of the lobby area. Staff was courtesy, nice, and responsive, but we are not particularly demanding travelers so we did not 'test' them much. We enjoyed London for four days and three nights here and the hotel did nothing to detract from our experience. We never used the attached restaurant, but the patrons we saw within all seemed to be enjoying themselves, and the it was usually quite busy but never full. Free internet would have been nice; I paid 20 pounds/day for access (for business). Free wifi across the street at Starbucks.

Use the Oyster card to get around. Refund the balance at the Tube cashier before you leave last stop. Do not skip the double decker bus. Sitting on top, in the front row, going through Oxford, Picadilly, and Trafagar Squares were a trip highlight.

Good location
Chose this hotel as it was on the Picadilly line direct from Heathrow and the tube station right next to the hotel and also close to the center of London. The trains run very frequently so getting to the hotel was easy (25 minutes). Local area has some decent places to eat, but didnt eat at the hotel. Wallking distance to Natural History, Science and Victoria and Albert museum, plus Harrods. We actually walked to Buckingham Palace and Westminster abbey/Houses of Parliament which is not too much of a walk but of course the tube station is there also if you need it. Hotel was just OK. Room was clean but small. Bathroom water pressure in the shower wasnt too good though. Usual european hotel with no free internet and no ice machines! I probably would stay here again just for the convenience of the train/airport location, but there are also plenty more hotels in the area.
