Probably should "Upgrade"
We chose this hotel mainly for the location, which was perfect for our needs. However, there were many ammenities missing, our shower had mold, a bobbypin lay on the floor in the same place for days, indicating no vacuuming. A couple days they failed to refil the instant coffee granules! The room was crowded & set up uncomfortably. If you turned the heat/fan on, it brought in a stale cigarette smoke smell. Wi-Fi was EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE as well as a steep charge per call (in addition to the phone bill) from the land line.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Room clean but starting to look a little worn. Nice and quiet facing main floor roof if you don't mind not having a view.

Great location as a base for sight seeing
This is my second stay at the Millinnenium Gloucester. The lobby is beautifully decorated but the rooms don't measure up to the lobby in terms of decor. They are clean with modern TV's but the decor is plain. The best thing about the hotel is that is is literally across the street from the tube station. This is a huge benefit after a day of sightseeing across London when you feel like you can't walk another step. The other good thing is that within walking distance of the hotel there are plenty of options for dining if you are too worn out to travel further. Within a block or two there were Italian, Indian, pizza and Singaporean restaurants plus a half dozen coffee shops and a French bakery. The staff is very helpful and the concierge helped us get tickets for a musem show that was pretty much booked. We would definitely stay at the hotel again.

comfortable nice hotel
Very convenient location- in center of S Kensington/ near Knightsbridge, 1 min from Waitrose, Starbucks etc and underground. The hotel is big, contemporary style, chic lobby, good bar, upper floors are club floors. Rooms are big, beds are great, bathroom of good quality with gorgeous towels and bathrobe. Luxury cosmetics. The negative- awful fitness room on the first floor and a little noisy if you have a room looking outside. But the overall stay is very good. Advise to all to stay there.

Perfect hotel to experience all of London
In the heart of London's exclusive residential districts, this friendly neighborhood location is right by a Tube stop with three main lines (Circle, District and Piccadilly) and only a few stops from most of London's main sights. A cute corner grocery store, numerous local restaurants and neighborhood shops are just half a block from the hotel and provide handy, delicious and very inexpensive meals. Handsome homes are in every other direction. It was easy access to the best of London. The hotel staff and concierge were friendly and very helpful. The room was very comfortable. I can hardly wait to stay here again.

Get a 7-day unlimited use Travelcard/Oyster Card for zones 1 and 2, AND both a Tube map and a London bus map. The tube is fast, but the bus is great because you can sit on top and see tons of London. Being able to jump on and off both all day at will lets you cover huge amounts of ground at very low cost. NOTE: if you are there fewer than 4 days, get a shorter term card.

Great location
Everything was as w would wish. The Millennium club was a bit of too much, except that the breakfast without it was outrageously priced at over £15 per person for a very nice buffet. The concierge was a wonderful source of information and assistance. Problems were taken care of almost immediately. All in ll if I were to go back to London I would go back to the same hotel.

Short walk from hotel
Buy an "oyster card" for travel for one day o the buses and underground. It is cheaper than paying for each ride separately.
