Housed in traditional 19th century Victorian townhouse, this city-centre hotel is located 200 metres from the Paddington station and within one mile of hydra park. A full English breakfast is served every morning in the hotel's bright modern breakfast room, and you can also choose a Continental or Muslim breakfast. The multilingual concierge is on hand to offer sightseeing assistance. The 14 guestrooms over five floors feature traditional decor with patterned fabrics and come equipped with satellite television; all have a private bathroom. High speed internet is available on the lower floors and at reception. Limited parking available charged a 10.00 a day, please contact the hotel for booking the space.

A place to crash

The light fixture dangled from the wall, the room heat didn't work, the shower was tiny, the drawer lacked a handle and had a bare screw sticking out, and the floor and everything on it was tilted so badly that my lipstick kept rolling onto the floor. The room was very tiny. But the location was great - I could walk to Soho and the price wasn't bad.

the staff is helpful,rooms are bad

1st night horrible room, cold, after complaining they gave us something better. noise, small, sloppy. Move on!!

adequate

Just back from the UK, where i stayed 4 nights. The hotel is old and a bit run down, however for the price it was more than adequate. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable, and bathroom & shower were small. The free breakfast was good the staff were friendly and obliging.

Great Location-Good Value

The location was great. Near Paddington Station-so you could easily catch the tube and also use the Paddington express train to Heathrow. The hotel was nice-European in that it was small. Clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was great-traditional English Breakfast. Sometimes if you came back late-the night person was on break and you would have to wait up to 15 minutes to get in. Also an easy walk to Hyde Park. I would recommend it as long as you aren't looking for American size rooms and beds. I don't stay in the hotel except to sleep and get a shower. Also there are no elevators so it is all stairs (this does not bother me, but for some it may) No bell hops to carry your luggage.

Buy a London Pass if you are there for a few days. We had a 6 day one and it got you to the front of the line-plus if you plan your attractions ahead of time you really save a ton. The card was 109 pounds, but a lot of the places are 15-20 pounds so if you do 2 or 3 of those a day-it adds up quick in savings-plus not having to wait in line.

Good price and very good location,

Good price and very good location, but not the best service i've had from them. It was noisy and we had a smokers room this time around.

Nice deskman to make up for the hotel.

Never been to London before, but wish I had booked in an American chain. The room was very small, smelled musty, had no outlet adaptors, no washcloths (none in France either...so bring your own.) This hotel was close to the Paddington tube station which made it convenient and easy to get most anywhere.

Very low budget

The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was also nice and filling. The room was large enough but old - old furnishings very scuffed up and the room was not level. The bathrooms had been remodeled and were more modern. If you are looking for just a place to sleep and low budget, this would be a good place to stay.

Hintaansa vastaava

Hotelli on pieni, samoin huoneet. Mutta huoneet on siistejä, palvelu ystävällistä. Aamiainen oli hyvin englantilainen (munia, pekonia, pannullinen kahvia/hlö, paahtoleipiä, jne.), sillä jaksoi hyvin lounaaseen asti. Sijainti lähellä Paddingtonin asemaa on erinomainen, jos tulet Heathrow'sta. Edullinen hotelli, jossa hinta-laatu -suhde on kohdallaan.
