OK value for the money
The most positive thing is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The hotel is dated, "old", compared with nearby hotels (Grange City). The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was no shower cap or hand lotion provided, you had to ask for it. The flat screen TV had minimal number of channels: no business channels like Bloomberg or CNN. On the plus side, it had a VGA port so you can connect your laptop to TV; you need to bring your own cable. The restaurant buffet was ok, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful; they need to watch for little kids using hands touching the food, or coughing without covering their mouth and spreading germs all over in the middle of winter...(you can't rely on indifferent of careless parents not minding their kids). The location of the hotel is "out of the way"; ok for doing business in the City, but limited for tourism (The Tower of London and the bridge...That's all). So the hotel is ok in a pinch, but likely I will look for another one on my next trip.

Nice hotel, good location
The staff at the hotel and in the dining room were really nice, very helpful, and polite. Their suggestions for dinner and pubs were perfect. The hotel was clean-our room looked new, good size, and modern. Shower was nice. This hotel is close to the subway and rail stations so travel and sightseeing is easy. Nice to be able to get back to your room before dinner.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Take the subway/tube to and from Heathrow airport. The tube goes right from the terminal to the stop around the corner. The subway is clean and safe. We found the taxis and bus service are crazy $$$.

Novotel London Tower Bridge
The hotel was very clean and updated. Breakfast was the best surprise. Be sure to pay attention to the signs that tells you when the busy times are. The hotel was near all public transportation. Check-in was a breeze. Staff members were friendly and helpful Although they offered free internet in the lobby, it would have been even better to have free WiFi in the room.

Great location, clean rooms, staff could be better
Novotels are typically nice, and this one is no exception. The staff, all of whom are not native English persons, are not very knowledgable of the area. Some of them are quite difficult to understand in terms of communication. Only one was both fluent and very helpful. I would suggest that Novotels worldwide have at least one native language speaker at the front desk at all times.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Go to the nearby Tower of London to ask directions or transportation questions. Most who work at this historic site are native Londoners and actually know where things are and how to get there.

Great Location
I was staying in Oxford for the week but spent a couple of days in London before going home. I was traveling alone and wanted a place I felt was safe. This was an excellent choice. Good price, tastefully decorated, clean and the location was wonderful. I stayed on the 7th floor and had a great view of The Tower of London. When I walked outside and to the corner, I did not have to consult my map. The Tower was in plain sight and just a 5 minute walk away as was the Tower Bridge and a lot of other wonderful places. Get The Original Sightseeing Bus Tour tickets online (and save) and you can get them activated by the Tower of London instead of having to make your way to Piccadilly or the Vistor Center to activate tickets.
