Novotel London West

This hotel is very nice.. but I didn't love the location. It is quite a walk to the subway compared to other places we stayed.. and the walk includes some stairs! Pretty basic as far as amentities go and you have to pay for anything extra. It was a nice stay for a short time but if you are looking to be close to the center of London this is not the hotel to go to. It is about 20-30 minutes to the center of London on the subway and much longer on the bus! But overall good customer service.

I stayed for the concert at Apollo. It's very convenient and there are many shops next to station. Reception has indifidual desk , so there was no line for waiting, I need to wait for a long time to check in. However staff is very kind.

Hotel is well appointed..staff are excellent..very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is a 5min walk to the underground/bus stn.for easy access to ALL of London (with the right transportation pass!) The area (Hammersmith) is very nice..good shopping..some nice restaurants and pubs.

Check in was fast and efficient, GBP50 deposit was charged on credit card, refunded after 2 weeks if its a foreign card. The rooms were a nice clean design. Sofa bed was comfortable and a good size. We were able to empty the automatic bar to stock our own drinks. Train station was right behind the hotel, being in Zone 2 was very good, N9 night bus passes right in front. 24 Hour M&S store makes it easier to shop. Direct underground train from London Heathrow airport to Hammersmith station. Overall great location. Only stayed at nights as we were traveling all day, the only complaint was that calls to the room was not answered and it took around 3 calls to get connected each time. Else than that, all good and as expected from the novotel brand.

Great location 5 minute walk from Hammersmith station on Picadilly line. Starbucks on main street on way to Underground for quick bite to eat. Inside hotel, sink would not drain properly causing some odor in the bathroom but nothing horrible. Safe inside hotel not working. No free Internet access as in some other Novotel locations. Hotel rooms were quiet and clean.

A lovely hotel ina good spot. Close to Hammersmith Stations for 3 different tube lines. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Although renovations are taking place in the main lobby, the hotel is fully functionalble as normal. Buffet breakfast is great, so much variety. Overall one of the best I have stayed in. Highly recommended.

This hotel is 5 minute walk from Hammersmith Station. There are pubs and cafes very close to the hotel (opp the station). Breakfast spread was excellent. Lobby is not like that of a high-end Hyatt or Radisson but certainly good enough for some routine business meetings. Size of the room is appreciable and much above average London standard. It has a double bed with a sofa which also turns into a double bed which is ideal when traveling with children.

The carpet in the hallway was in bad shape, buckled and dirty and smelled like dirty feet. The carpet in the room was very dirty. The elevators were extremely slow and inefficient, bypassing floors. It took 15 minutes for the elevator to finally stop on my floor when in a hurry to check out. The reception desk was very slow in checking people out. We asked about where to get a taxi three separate times and no one was willing to help us get one. Finally, a car was ordered for us and it did arrive very fast. Our toilet didn't flush. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was not very good. The buffet was not kept stocked up and was messy with food spilled around the serving area. We had to ask for coffee and then were only given one partial cup serving. Also, the hotel is way out in Hammersmith and is not close at all to any of the attractions in central London. It is close to the tube station where you can get to Picadilly Circus in about 20 minutes. The tube is hot and crowded and there was a weird guy in our train car who was kind of scary, talking to himself. He made people uncomfortable. Not much to do in Hammersmith.

My overall experience at this hotel was good. The location was great for all transportation to all of the london sites one would want to visit. we toured around on numerous bus trips, which allowed familiarity of the area and the convenient location of the hotel made it more pleasing. I would have appreciated more input from the hotel reception about the sites and offering, that was lacking. But I would stay at this hotel again in future travels.
