Training in London
I stayed for two nights during the training. It's a very good hotel remote from the street noise but close to Paddington railway and tube station. Rooms are clean with modern furniture and very nice bathroom. The first room (double)No M4 that I was allocated was below the water tanks. As soon as someone turns water on the pump gets so noisy that made it impossible for me to stay there. I asked for another room but the staff said they were fully booked. It was only when I threaten to live the hotel they offered me another room as suddenly they had an “ early check out” at 8 pm !!! and moved me to another triple room which was really nice and quiet.

Perfectly adequate two-star hotel
There was nothing wrong with this hotel, and the location was good. I just have no idea where the four stars come from--for this, one would expect a restaurant, bar, room service, pool, etc. Instead, this is a standard London hotel in a converted house, with very small rooms (mine looked nothing like the pictures), with none of the above amenities. This was fine with me--I was out most of the time and didn't need a huge room, it was clean, there are restaurants quite nearby, and the price was right. Four stars is a very misleading description, though--this was a standard two-star hotel.

Not that great
The hotel was in a pretty good location with the Paddington Underground less then a 5 minute walk away. It was an ok hotel if you are not planning on spending any amount of time in it beside sleeping. The rooms were very small, though I expected that. The walls are extremely thin and people are typically very loud in the morning and you can hear everything. The rooms were fairly clean although I did see mold in the shower. One thing that I was a bit put off by was the lack of knowledge from the staff. Since we were from out of the country, we asked them on a few different occasions about places around London. The staff really had no knowledge of London and where things were around the area. I would think that being a hotel they would need to know at least what there was around the hotel. It was not a horrible experience but I will most likely not stay at this hotel again. I will try my luck elsewhere.

not what it appears to be
The hotel lost our booking, but this is not about that. They placed us in a room starting with "00", in the basement, if that helps set the stage. The room was 10x10 and the bathroom could hardly be called a bathroom. The shower had two settings: cold and scalding; but the scalding was only apparent after a 10-minute warm-up time. We complained to the front desk about the shower being cold and they said the building was just old, and to let the water run for 5 minutes. The wifi was only available in the lobby, which was not what I understood from the Amenities section.[...].This hotel is ABSOLUTELY not a 4-star hotel. I cannot stress enough how much I one should avoid booking with this hotel. I know it is also part of a chain, so I will also regard the chain with some suspicion.

This is an appalling hotel, and
This is an appalling hotel, and was only booked as it was a recommended hotel on HotelClub. By point of comparison, I stayed in the Hilton London Bridge for under £100 booking through [your website] a few weeks earlier as it was a recommended hotel. There was no comparison whatsoever. Rooms are small, bathrooms are miniscule, service is poor and the general concierge areas reek of a cheap bed and breakfast. In actual fact, the [website] booking area suggested that this room was reduced from over £300 to £69. I find it difficult to believe that anyone has ever paid £300 to stay there, and would suggest this was a cheap marketing trick to con people into thinking it is a four or five star establishment and book. Very poor

Despite serious flooding problem
Despite serious flooding problem in hotel just 24 hours before, most facilities up and running well. However, aircon failed in room allocated, but immediate move to upgraded room was carried out without quibble. Have stayed here several times before and despite some rooms now looking a little tired the overall efficiency of staff, non-smoking policy throughout, excellent breakfast buffet and location all mean that I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This was the smallest and most
This was the smallest and most crowded room I've ever stayed in. No room for a laptop on the desk because of the (small) TV sat on the same. A simple wall bracket would make so much difference. The bathroom was minuscule. I am of average height and build and had to squeeze into the shower through a gap no more than two toothbrushes end to end so I would challenge anyone remotely rotund to be able to shower at all. The internet - whilst "free" (i.e. included in the price) was less than reliable. All in all, for a one-night stay when you're on a short trip (not much luggage) it's bearable but I wouldn't recommend a stay any longer than that.

Good location and friendly staff.
Good location and friendly staff. But noise insulation is very bad, as is the selection of channels on TV (for those who bother about these things!). Mini bar was unstocked, not even a bottle of water. For a 4-star hotel it should be better, though price-wise it´s not too bad (for London standards).

I had a single room that was very small. Nonetheless, it was perfect for my needs and had all amenities that I required - a desk, a large-enough cupboard, free 24 hour access to broadband, clean bathroom, decent size and fresh towels, tea-coffee making facilities, hairdryer and reading lights above the bed. I used to appreciate the availability of a fresh apple at reception each day too. It was wonderfully close to Paddington Railway Station and I would certainly stay there again.
