After some confusion at reception,
After some confusion at reception, when we were allocated three single beds, rather than double and a single, the room was a pleasant surprise. It had the biggest bathroom I have ever experienced in a London hotel, with a large bath and shower. The bed was comfortable, although the window in the room was an old, wooden affair that took a bit of shifting. Breakfast was basic but adequate. It is a short walk from Finsbury Park tube station on the Victoria Line. Overall, pretty good value for £85 mid-week.

A cheap, anonomous, multi national,
A cheap, anonomous, multi national, somewhat run down hotel in an excellent position next to Finsbury Park and the Tube. The free secure (ish) parking and simple breakfast are definite pluses. Missing bathroom tiles and noisy doors/floors a negative. Overall worth the money, but we`re not that fussy. Convenience and parking made our decision to return to the Pembury.

The good thing about Pembury is
The good thing about Pembury is its closeness to an underground station (5 mins walk) - this allows tube users to arrive in central London in 20 mins whilst at the same time paying much less than for central hotels. Unfortunately, the hotel is quite shabby, works were ongoing so that the smell of fresh paint was dominant, we were moved from one room to another as the result of overbooking, there was no lift for upper storey rooms, and some bathrooms were positively stinking. Breakfast was limited to orange and apple juice, white and brown bread/toast, sliced ham & cheese, jam and butter, muesli, cornflakes, milk, tea and hot chocolate.

This hotel was in an excellent
This hotel was in an excellent location for visiting a football game at Arsenal Football ground and from outside the hotel it looked quite nice and presentable. However the cleanliness of the room was terrible and you could have written in the dust on the television, which means that it had been some time since the room had been cleaned. I would not use the sink in the bathroom either as it was dirty and cracked. The bedding was also stained (pillow cases). Not very happy and won't be using again.

This hotel was a base for a football
This hotel was a base for a football weekend to watch Arsenal. It provided everything needed for that, namely a bed and somewhere to drop a bag. The room was basic but clean. A bit noisy at night as our room at the front of the hotel was right on the busy Seven Sisters Road. breakfast basic but also adequate. Good location for transport and only 20mins from the City Centre. Overall, we got VFM.

If you are looking for 24 hour
If you are looking for 24 hour hot water facility then you wont get it. The hot water was not available in the early hours of morning, as we wanted to start early and staff are not friendly and not helpful. I think they have a set time for hot water as it automatically started after 8 am, If you are ok with that ,then this is an average hotel for cheap rate .

Room and furnishings were very
Room and furnishings were very seedy and the room badly needed redecorating. Horrible dirty brown splashes on one wall which needed removing. Ensuite had a bad smell. Staff helpful. Breakfast very basic. Location and parking very good.
