President

A decent but fairly pedestrian hotel that is located in close proximity to Russell Square tube station. The staff was very friendly and help.

Am a business traveller, frequently in London. Usually I stay around Earls Court but decided this time to go to President. It's a large hotel complex made up of several hotels. It's not a bad hotel although getting a bit tired and torn at the seams, a bit noisy from other people walking in their room or on the corridor. A particular complaint I have is that you get a physical room key, that has to be turned in all the time. My room door couldn't be closed from the inside for whatever reason. The room and bathroom were clean. Would I go back? Not sure - The nearby underground Russell Sq only serves the Piccadilly line which is not very useful for me, next time Earls Court again I think.

This was a very nice hotel and the location was great with the Russell Square metro station within a five minute walk. The hotel staff was by friendly and helpful as well.

This is my first choice hotel. I think this was my 5th or 6th visit during the last 10 years. The location is very central, good and quite. Our double room was spacious and cosy. The continental breakfast is quite good with a selection of cereals, and fruit which are not available in other hotels of the same category. This hotel would definitly be also my first choise should I decide to visit London again.

The President Hotel is a good value for its central location; only one block from the Russell Square Tube stop. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot and strong. The public areas, such as the elevators and lobby, could use updating. They charge to 4BPS to use a computer for an hour and 1BPS to make a phone call from the room. In this day and age both should be free to guests. The computer I used was not well lit and was slow or crashed. The staff was a bit indifferent to the situation. If you want any info from the staff try to find an employee that is native to England. When one could be found, they knew the City and could answer your questions. It was difficult to sleep much past 6:30 PM as the noise of clattering china from the kitchen would wake me.

I stayed at the hotel on a recent business trip from the Middle East, where I live and work. I was attracted by the price. The room was basic but very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful in every way. The location is perfect for Theatre Land and Covent Garden. It was the UK schools half term and there were many coach groups staying also, which made the lobby quite crowded and noisy for a lot of the time. The Continental breakfast was a little disappointing while the Full English looked excellent.

Good hotel overall, nice room size in a good location and close to russell square station. WiFi didn't work from the room but we had some success from the lobby.

Our stay at the President Hotel London was not excellent but very good!

Skip breakfast (very basic, long queues). Hotel clean, and very central - within walking distance of Holborn, King's cross, Totenham court road and Russell square stations. British museum just round the corner.

Good Hotel can recommend it.
