Quality Crown Hotel Hyde Park

I booked this room and upon check in decided to check back out. I went around the corner to the Hilton and it was half the price for twice the size room and was pleased! This hotel room was the size of a closet and it was dirty and out dated. I am shocked at any good reviews this place has. Also the management is not nice or helpful. This is a cheap hotel, do not be fooled by the picutures.

This trip with my 75 yo mom in London, we just wanted to have a simple, quiet, peaceful accommodation that we expect from a 4-star hotel. Small room is OK, no fancy amenities no problem. But this hotel, particularly room 6xx (which is on the ground floor, not on 6th) was as bad it could be. This room was in BETWEEN hallways. So the window is facing one of the hallways where people are walking by. Not only you can not open the window, but you pretty much have to keep the curtains closed all the time. Remember, it's a tiny clumpy room - you feel really confined. Also there was a gigantic standing A/C with a huge pipe going up to the upper part of the wall that was taking up about 3' x 3' space in the corner of the tiny room. It was so noisy that we could not use while we were in the room. Also there was no proper air circulation, so there was a big standing fan taking up another 2'x2' space in another corner of the room. We felt as if the room was converted from a storage space or worker's resting room. Of course we requested to change the room but it was full until next day. They did move us to another room next day, it was a bit bigger, the window was not facing hallway, there was no gigantic loud A/C taking up spaces. The room was not quiet because it was facing right at other rooms in a closed walls and A/C noises were amplified by those walls. But it was better than the room 6xx. We paid same price for the both rooms. They didn't offer any service or discount whatsoever. I will never go back to this hotel.

I was excited to get this hotel last minute on [...], pics looked great and while expensive $190 it is London and it was convenient to paddington. When I got their they seemed perturbed to process an [...] booking and while the outside was that zof a 4 star, as I got closer and went inside, I feel it's a 2 star, no more. Tiny rooms, basic bathrooms, poor quality towels and furniture. Call it what it is, 2 star, and price it accordingly and it's fine.

We arrived early in the morning, and were unable to check into our hotel until around 2 p.m. The hotel staff was very friendly and kept our bags while we went out for the afternoon. Upon checking into our room, I was very pleased with the size of the room and the bathroom. The (twin) beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was plenty big (for European standards!) The room was very clean. At night, we could easily hear people on the floor above us. There is a computer at the bar for guests to use. From Heathrow, we took the Underground to Paddington Station, and the hotel is a very close walk. Hyde Park was very close, as well as some pubs. We had dinner at the Victoria, and it was very good! Overall, a very nice hotel.

It was a nice and clean Hotel with friendly staff.

I called in advance about early check-in and was told there would be no problem. Upon arrival at 8:00 am, we had to wait and complain to the staff until I upgraded to another room that was available. Not one time did the desk acknowlege I had called to pay for an additional night and was told I did not need to do this.

The hotel was within easy walking distance to Paddington Station. We stayed in a room with three beds and we didn't think that the room was cramped, but we have been on cruise ships so we can adjust to smaller rooms. No need to worry about restaurants, there are some nearby including Mcdonald's and Burger King, and also kiosks in Paddington. One we enjoyed was Mimo's, a small Italian.
