Fine for somewhere to sleep
Hotel is clean and room was modern and clean. Shower was lovely; great pressure and had a large rain shower head as well as a handheld one. I paid £235 (€290) for a Friday and Saturday night stay in an executive room. I didn't book through the hotel website. Had I booked through the hotel website it would have cost £358. £235 was around the right price, I would have felt severely ripped off paying £358. Also worth noting that even though I paid in advance through the discount website I used they need a £50 deposit on arrival. It's fair enough as it covers them for phone and room service etc. but it's not mentioned anywhere before you arrive and is a bit of a surprise (the people in front of me checking in were very annoyed about it). I think that it should be stated clearly on your itinerary. It may be included in the hotel policies and yes I did tick the box that said "I have read and agree to the hotel policies" but like a lot of people I didn't read them. They do mention on other review sites that some of the rooms have no windows - I imagine that's a little depressing. The people in front of me checking in had got one of those rooms and were not happy. I got a room with a window but the window is only for light and you can't open it to let fresh air in. The hotel is very hot. It does have air-conditioning which works very well. The problem was that the lights and air-conditioning only work when the room key is inserted in a receiver near the door. So when you leave the room it doesn't work - each time I came back to the room it was stifling. Breakfast was a joke. Some sliced pan to put in one of those rotating toasters, 3 plates with some measly bits of salami and processed chicken, some cereal and fruit. It looks very mean when you go to the dining room and there's nothing particularly tasty. In summary: it's perfect for a weekend away when things outside the hotel are more important. I'd go back.

Nice Hotel, Average Area
This hotel is a good value for your money and it is very convenient access to the tube and buses to more popular areas like Piccadilly Circus and Buckingham Palace. The only drawbacks are that the area itself isn't very interesting and the rooms are small. However, the rooms were nicely decorated and clean and staff is very kind.

Damp must smell and leaking ceiling
The room was very nice although very small. There was a definite musty smell in the corridor and the room, but this cleared once the aircon was started. On the first night i awoke to find water dripping from the light fitting on the ceiling onto the bed. I told reception and they assured me it waould be fixed. There was a very large water stain on the ceiling from previous leaks. On my third night the leak happened again! Obviously room 302 has a major problem, and should not be let again until fixed. I needed a hotel for the next 8 weeks in london, but will be giving this a wide berth

broken a/c made for the worst nights of my life
The air conditioner was broken and the windows were sealed shut to deter jumpers, so the rooms (we tried three different ones) were like oven boxes (the temperature was in the upper 90's and into the 100's Fahrenheit, so all the fan did was circulate hot air). It was awful. I had to sleep in the lobby (got less than 4 hours in 2 nights). Why wouldn't the staff or management just put their guests up in the hotel down the street? I requested a full refund; still haven't heard back on the matter. I am infuriated.

A good value
Our first night, there was a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom, but it was gone the next morning. The amenities were nice. There was a restaurant downstairs that served breakfast. They sometimes serve dinner, but this feature won't be open for a few more weeks. The location is good in that it is across from the Tesco and near the tube and restaurants, but bad in that the building next door is abandoned with broken windows and graffiti. The rooms were very clean and had nice green energy features. It was also a beautiful and cozy hotel and room. The staff was excellent. Overall, it was a very good stay.

London Times!
Once we arrived at 11am we were not allowed to check in untill 12pm. The women at the front desk were friendly and sujested we should go to grab a bite to eat while we waited. That would have been a wonderful idea if we weren't so tired and wanted to shower and relax first. My husband had a 10 hour flight and a hour drive on the tube. Once we finally was able to go into the room "it was very nice" but the wet bar was not working. We informed the front desk attendent she explained that the maintanace man was to be in the following morning and that he would have the problem fixed. That never happened we were with out the wet bar for the entire time we were there. We stayed there a complete week and it would been nice to have that as a acomindation, we also had request for some wash cloths the last three days of our stay, we never received them either. Our overall stay was made tollerible due to the travels throughout London, The beautiful Thames, we dined at the Beatox cruise, we also whent to several museums, Piccadilly and Oxford circus for shopping, Soho, and walked the city streets along with spending time in Paris.
