Terrific moden amenities. Rooms a bit small, but well appointed, modern and clean. Great service. Location can't be beat. Across the street from tube, and in the middle of the shopping district!

great location, average on everything else
I've only stayed in London Oxford street (you can compare it to Times Square in NYC). I was there mostly to shop so the area was very convinient as it's close to all the chain stores, Selfridges, Liberty and it's a great tourist location. The hotel definitely serves its purpose but don't expect any more than just an average hotel. The bed, however, definitely needs an upgrade. It was pretty sunken in and my back hurt the next couple of days. The rooms are small (to be expected in London) and it's fairly clean. I would come back here only because of the location.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
All the shopping is just a short walk away. You can go from low end to high end in matters of blocks. If you want fast fashion, everything is at your fingertips. If you want high brand names, Soho and nice dept stores are also just a short walking distance away. You will save a lot on cab rides just by being here!

Great city centre location
Super location for shopping in London, quickly onto Oxford street, but when finished...nice quiet environment to relax. Staff were excellent, and customer service was one of the best I've had recently.

Great Location, a few technical issues
Great location, very convenient to the tube. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only one of the two small lifts was working and I found myself using the stairs more than I would have liked. Also, one night thre was some building work going on at 11pm which was very irritating.

Superb service and location
I was very impressed by the friendly and caring service that my granddaughter and I received from the staff of the Radisson Edwardian Berkshire Hotel. We are both rather tall, and I assumed that when I booked a "double" room that we would have accommodations with twin beds. After one rather rough night together in a double bed, we asked if it might be possible to switch us to another room. The staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant, dealt with our request readily, and helped us move swiftly without any delay. I would heartily recommend this hotel to travelers to London. Not only is the hotel clean, friendly, and efficient, but it is extremely well located, just a block from the Underground station, which we used daily in our explorations of London. We also admired the modern decor of the rooms. My heartfelt thanks to the Radisson Edwardian Berkshire staff, and thanks especially to the nice young man who greeted us and checked us in initially.

Mixed feelings
I was in London for business. The location of this hotel is really good. I could get to the tube in no time; that was a life saver. Also, you could literally walk to Piccadilly Circus, Mayfair, and Soho from here. The downside is extremely small rooms; it would not be an exaggeration to say that the size of the room was just a tad bigger than my closet. I was just one person staying. So, it was OK. But for two or more people, this is not the place. Plus, beds were really uncomfortable.

Great location & service, but not rooms!
I had stayed at the Berkshire before it was renovated (many years ago), and picked it for this recent trip for its location as well as classic/warm rooms/ambience. However, I was surprised to see that with its multi-million pound makeover, little attention was paid to guest floors. The rooms were very small & poorly designed; you could hear every foot & closing door outside; and the smell of old carpet was unexpected.

Paradiso is a small Italian restaurant located right behind Oxford Street (off of James Street), which offered unexpectedly great food as well as wine list for average prices.
