Couldn't get a better location or friendlier staff
Just a perfect location - a wee oasis of calm in the middle of nutty London. Only downside just now is not of the hotel's making. Leicester Square is being dug up. Just take some earplugs or ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Even with the noise, it was soooo totally worth it. Staff were so helpful too and not at all 5 star stuffy.

Great Location, Great Room AFTER Complaining
I gave this hotel three stars based on my first night; once I was upgraded to a junior suite, things got much better. But the first night my so-called deluxe room was small, had an incredibly creaky floor, and generally seemed years out of date. (The ancient hair dryer in the desk is apparently standard, but the upgraded room at least had a bigger one than the joke in the initial room.) The staff called to see if everything was OK, and responded to my complaints about the room by saying the hotel was fully booked. On a Thursday in the theatre district of West End? Maybe. The staff initially did not know whether I got a free movie with the deluxe room (the website said yes, but they said, No, maybe, yes), and told me it was impossible to restart the movie without paying again (for the free movie, the first 20 minutes of which I'd missed because I had to figure out how to fix the loose cable on the TV -- the staff kept wanting to send someone to fix the TV I'd already fixed, instead of restarting the movie, which apparently can't be easily done). I had called to let the front desk know that I had arranged for their "In-room spa" and a massage therapist would arrive at 6pm. The therapist arrived early, but for some reason no one on the staff could explain, the massage table took 20 minutes to arrive (meaning she might have to be late for her next appointment or cut my treatment short). Oh, and the heat did not work properly; they did bring me a portable heater but by this point I was seriously regretting my decision to stay here especially at the price. They offered to move me to a new room but not until the next day. Initially I was reluctant to have to re-pack and unpack again, but I was so fed up that I did so. They upgraded me to a junior suite. If you can guarantee a junior suite (which I'm sure costs a small fortune since the deluxe room I'd booked was expensive), this is the place to stay. Even overlooking the construction on leicester square and a nightclub, the room was surprisingly quiet. Junior suite with king bed and sofa was, of course, larger and better equipped (except for that absurd hairdryer-in-a-drawer). Bathroom had bath and shower (shower didn't drain properly but was usable and in comparison to prior room, the bathroom was huge). If you're in London for theatre, this is the perfect location, but the rooms apparently at least some of the deluxe rooms could not be farther from deluxe. I wouldn't recommend to a friend because my friends would not get a junior suite and I wouldn't want them to take a chance on the deluxe (or regular) room.

noisy hotel
The breakfast bar was not very good and too pricey. The street noise was very loud and interruped sleep.

Have been to some excellent hotels
Have been to some excellent hotels around the globe, but edwardian hampshire can fully compete with them! The service was outstanding friendly and helpful, room was small (what I think is logical for a standard-room in a city-hotel), but with all amenities you can think of - clean and well cared for! Breakfast was also very nice - but above all is the location - one minute walk to three main tubes, many sights and a lot of pubs and clubs within walking distance - and the underground directly to Heathrow without changing makes it even more worth to stay!

Radisson Edwardian Hamshire 5 Star???
This hotel was far from a 5 star hotel! Besides not having a lobby, there were no vending areas on floors or in hotel! No ice machines on premises. No cable tv. Staff was not very friendly. Many of the reasons why I selected this hotel did not prove to be true. The bar was suppose to remain open 24 hours, it did not. After 1am they locked the front doors, we had to knock on door, and show our room card to gain entry! Also, when I booked this package, I had the guy call the hotel and ask them if the continental breakfast was included in the price. They assured them it was included....NOT!! The breakfast was $24.99!! We will next time book the Waldorf, where we had stayed the year before. Much better service, quality of rooms, breakfast, extra large lobby, bar, and they even give you slippers to take with you when you leave! I can say one good thing about this motel, it was in an excellent location.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
If your over 40 years old, the nightlife sucks!!! Most of the night spots were for 21-30!

THis hotel is right on Leicester
THis hotel is right on Leicester Square so makes an ideal location for all West End theatres. The hotel itself was a little disappointing but given we were there for one night only it didn't matter that much. The corridors were very dark and while the room was clean and tidy the decor was predominantly brown and dark. Sticky tape holding in batteries on the remote control didn't suggest attention to detail was high on the agenda. Service was a little slow. Over 20 minutes for a bucket of ice was quite a while to wait. I would stay here again if in London for one night but I wouldn't spend much longer than a couple of nights here.

EASY CUSTOMER.
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!! 2 STAR HOTEL
Things you should know before booking this hotel. 1. Rooms will be filthy. 2. Rooms will have alot of cosmetic damage. 3. Even though your checkin time is at 2pm prepare to receive your room key at 5pm. 4. The bathroom was dirty and also was "POURING" water from the ceiling. 5. Management was full excuses as to why the bathroom was raining with water as if it were a monsoon. 6.They will argue with you about giving you a smaller room and not giving you breakfast.Even though you paid for a bigger room and breakfast.
