Crisp Clean Cool
A funky hotel can sometimes equal lack of comfort, but it wasn't the case last week for my partner and I. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept on, the shower was relaxing w/ cool soap/shampoo, and the room/hotel were immaculate. The staff was polite and full of smiles. The daily "Independent" newspaper was a nice touch, and we really enjoyed the cocktails we had in The Purple Bar. The only real challenges were the inconsistency of the hours and operation of the The Long Bar (one night loud, booming music and open late; the next closed; the next dead and very quiet w/ somber music). Also, the room did not have an iron or ironing board. Also, be sure to get a room on the third floor or higher, as the bar can get a little loud on Friday nights. Regardless, the hotel is great and just far enough (a block) away from busy Oxford Street. We loved it.

In terms of clothing, "Liberty" and "Selfridges" are certainly cool to stroll through, but we found some great clothes at "M&S" (only two blocks from hotel) at far more affordable prices.

Super Bowl get together London
Was a fun 4 nights and 5 days. The most comfortable bed in any hotel ever. Noisy Friday and Sat night crowds but I have seen worse. Staff was excellent and did a great job accommodating all our needs and requests for food and travel information.
