perfect if you have a connecting flight
I had a connecting flight early Saturday monring and stayed here FRiday when I flew in from the US. Right at terminal 5 and I took the Heathrow Express to paddington then the tube to Central London, all with ease. The hotel staff was helpful with everything, rooms were clean and nice. Only had a drink at the bar, a bit pricey, but I come to expect that at hotel bars. I did not eat in any of the restaurants at the hotel.

If connecting thru Heathrow and only have a short stay, Sofitel is your best choice. It's in terminal 5 and easy to get to when you land and easy to get to your departing gate the next day. The rooms are spacious and very, very comfortable. That staff is superb!

Comfort at LHR
It is remarkable that such a quite and comfortable refuge can exist amidst the chaos of London's Heathrow Airport. It is a great place to land before or after a long international fight. The convenience to Terminal 5 cannot be beat. Though a bit pricey, it is a luxury hotel and the rooms, though compact, are very comfortable.

always stay there and staff was great. The best LHR hotel to satay when flying from the US, and want a good night sleep before heading to London, elsewhere in the UK or off to Europe

Pricey, though worth it during a tiring trip
We arrived exhausted from a complicated trip (bumped off by BA and recheduled with non-direct flights: we went through 5 security/passport lines in 7 hours. Perfect check-in and perfect, quiet room with excellent amenities. We had dinner and breakfast at the Sofitel as well. Both excellent (though, again, rather pricey.) The main thing was to get a rest and recuperate before our flight home. Sofitel was perfect in that regard.

A wonderful nights sleep for weary travelers
We chose to stay at London Sifitel to ride out an overnight layover. The service and location were so great we wished we were staying longer!

Great place to end your journey
Everything about our stay was wonderful; the room, the staff and the best breakfast ever. The bed was really super. I have only one small complaint. There was no floor mat to put in the shower and no grab bar. When the floor of the shower gets wet it is extremely slippery. After I showered I advised my husband to grab the soap dish if he felt as if he would fall.
