Park Lane Sheraton
The hotel was old, but adequate. The bed was comfortable and room fairly big for London standards. We did have to change from a nicer room with a limited view of Hyde Park because the air conditioner was broken. The staff was terrific and helpful.

Great Location-Nice Hotel-Excellent Staff
So convenient! All the staff were so competent and polite, it made my 3-day stay a real pleasure. I felt so well looked after at the Park Lane. The concierges gave great advice on restaurants, tours--even church services. When I needed a reading light--someone was there with one within 10 minutes of my phone call. I couldn't ask for more attentive, interested service. Green Park tube station is just a 2 minute away, so's the start of the double-decker bus tour of London.

Great Central Location
If you are going to the London this hotel is a great place to stay! Its close to the center of the city and very accessible by walking and the use of the tube! Beautiful park and restaurants close by. The hotel is great, staff is welcoming and the hotel also has beautiful restaurants and lounging areas to get a drink or appetizer.

Smack in the Middle
The Park Lane could not be more central to touring London. If you arrive by taxi, note that the real entrance is at the back of the hotel. If you enter on Picadilly, you will have to drag luggage up and down steps and through the lovely bar area. If you have a choice, the rooms in the back are quieter, but the rooms in front have a lovely view of the Park from higher floors.

This is one city where the bus tours make great sense, especially tied to the Thames tour.

Great location
Great location. Tea/bar room is beautiful. The lobby is very underwhelming. The rooms are large for European syandards with very comfy beds. The bathrooms are definitely 3-4 star quality, no where near 5 star quality that they claim. The conceriergevand bell staff were lovely and helpful. The desk staff could use a lot of improvement in customer service, they were often rude. They claimed that only one of our 2 room reservation was prepaid, which makes no sense. I had to show proof of payment both upon arrival and departure. Then they asked if we wanted and upgrade, when we said yes, they proceeded to let us know it would be 40 pounds extra a day per room. Upon return to the hotel 4 days later, the put us in a room with a double bed even though my reservation was for a king bed.

This hotel was a disappointment.
This hotel was a disappointment. I deliberately picked out an expensive hotel assuming most reasonable costs would be covered in the 300 + Australian dollars per night we paid to stay there. Also happy to pay for internet to the room at any reasonable cost, but, 6pounds for 1MB was ridiculous. 13pounds for 2 cups of tea and 4 biscuits, come on. Service and location were great but next time in London, back to the average priced hotels.
