European hotel

Having booked through an online discounter, we got a room right beside the elevator, even though the hotel was not very full. Room was very small, good location with easy access to 2 underground stations. Room was very hot, and the advertised "room airconditioning" (which we included in our room search) would not go on. This made sleaping difficult. Cleanliness was good. Included continental breakfast, including the breakfast area, was very good.

Great hotel in London

This hotel was a great value for London. The location was very good--about a 10 minute walk from Gloucester Road, in a pretty good part of town. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and gave us lots of suggestions for things to do/see; they also were helpful in booking an early morning cab to the train station. Rooms were comfortable and quiet.

another great stay at the parkcity

This was our 3rd stay at the ParkCity and things were still great. Our room rate included breakfast which we'd never taken advantage of previously. The breakfast was a nice continental breakfast and gets you filled up and ready to explore the city or head off to work. The hotel now has wireless but only in the lobby although if you stay on the 1st floor you may be able to pick it up in your room (we were able to which was nice)

London vacation - glorious

We went to London to see shows, see a Manilow concert at the O2 and visit some sites. The hotel was central, nicely appointed and on a quiet street in Kensington. I would suggest it to friends and family as a getaway but not necessarily for business. There is no wireless except in the lobby and that is the only negative that I can report. The breakfasts were great and the location was close to the tube.

We liked the friendly atmosphere of Ask Italian - a nice restaurant a short trip from the hotel. The manager and wait help were wonderful.

Highly Recommend the ParkCity

Hotel was top notch. Decor was fresh and modern with every attention to detail. The amenities in the room were top notch. I loved the rain shower head and the bed/linens were outanding. The custom welcome greeting on the tv after signing in was a very nice touch. Enjoyed morning breakfast and delivered paper. The bar/lounge was very nice as well. Service from every single person was superb. Location was great. A short walk to the tube or bus.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Get the oyster card for travel on the underground. You save lots of money over buying individual tickets. Take the picadilly line from Heathrow and get off at Earls Court stop and it is a short walk or cab to hotel.

Very nice, with a couple rough spots

If you want a very nice hotel in a great residential neighborhood, this is a good choice. The rooms are very modern and nicely appointed. Good linens. You have to decide if a very upscale residential neighborhood a 10 minute walk from Kensington High St (with the famous Whole Foods, as well as the usual British suspects) works for you, as opposed to something located more central to historic locations. The staff was very accommodating albeit overworked at times. Good desk, TV (new but maybe only 27"). Wired internet worked well for 10 pounds a day, but given an attractive room rate, my total value was good. Overall, quite quiet, but my first room was just outside a fire door that banged on each of the frequent occasions the housekeeper went through it. They were very nice about changing my room, and though the central heat on that one was out, they offered an a la cart space heater for no extra charge.

Very nice

We only stayed for one night, but we found the hotel to be very nice and comfortable. The first room we were given had a strong smoke smell so we asked to be transferred to another room and the staff did so right away. Our room was very nice, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is a 5-10 min walk from either Glouster Road or Earl's Court tube stops.

Very nice, but HOT on the 4th floor

The hotel was nice. The neighborhood it was in was even nicer. The only problem we had was that it was absolutely scorching on the 4th floor. It was quite warm in London while we were there and even with the AC on full blast in our room, we were still not quite comfortable. The heat of the seemingly un-air conditioned floor was too much for the AC in our room to overcome.
