Met Expectations
We've stayed at the Regency before and were delighted to return. The room "makeover" was contemporary and chic. Yes, the rooms are small but had all the space we needed. The lobby was nice but will be even better when the current renovation is completed. We also enjoyed the ambiance (quiet) and friendly staff at the Bar/Restaurant. The hotel was spotless and the location is perfect...near the Tube...and in a beautiful neighborhood We look forward to staying at this hotel in the future.

Great location at a reasonable price
If you want to stay at a great location within the center of London and don’t mind a small room this is the place to be. Service was excellent and staff was eager to please. Within walking distance to Natural History, Science and Victoria and Albert’s Museum. Great pubs and restaurants close to the hotel. If you enjoy Indian food, a visit to the nearby “Thali Restaurant” is a must. The only drawback is the size of the rooms. But who needs a big room when you’re in such a marvelous city. Highly recommended.

Avoid taxi’s and use the tube whenever possible. Much less expensive (weeklong pass costs half of taxi trip from airport) and very efficient.

Great location/ okay hotel
You cannot beat the location of the hotel. It is right along the Picadilly underground line, several blocks from Hyde Park and with in an easy walking distance to some great restaurants. The hotel itself was okay. I had read several reviews about the staff being unfriendly, but everyone was very nice and accommodating to us.

Great hotel & location
Great service from everyone at The Regency. They were there to make you happy. Breakfast room service was fast, good and reasonable compared to typical London prices. Location was a neighborhood setting. Transportaion only a few minutes walk - South Kensington Station - along a street lined with restaurants. Concierge was very helpful. Really enjoyed the Club Deluxe room.

Nice Room
We only stayed for one night in a Club Room. The room was small but nice. It was close to the South Kensington tube stop which was handy. The room didn't have any information regarding restaurants or anything else for that matter. There were no instructions on how to access the internet in the room. The closet didn't contain and iron or ironing board but did have a safe. If you're looking for lots of in room amenities you may want to look elsewhere. However, the hotel was a good value and we would stay again. Make sure you book a Club room. They were recently renovated.

Short walk from hotel
Take the Paddington Line back to Heathrow from South Kensington. It was only 5 pounds each and didn't take long.

Excellent hotel for the price
Excellent hotel for the price in a lovely area. Close to the Underground, which incorporates three handy lines (one straight to Heathrow without changing!). Staff very pleasant and bonus! - it has a lift! Kensington Palace about 5 mins walk, picture theatres at Chelsea also around the corner and an easy underground ride to the Theatre District. Harrods also within walking distance. A great base to visit London and strongly recommend!

The Regency - Room For Improvement
First visit and spent five nights. Hotel staff was friendly and responsive, however that did not make up for the house keeping issues (towels in the room that were not clean and ragged, provisions in the room for two when the booking was for three.) While west London is expensive, this is not a value for money property.
