Comfy and Classy Hotel, Perfect Location

We found the Rembrandt Hotel to be comfortable, clean, and even modestly classy. The staff were superb, they made us feel like we were staying in the Ritz Carlton. The location is amazing for a tourist, right across from the Victoria & Albert museum, Natural History museum, Kensington Park, a short walk to Harrod's, and too much more to list. The South Kensington tube station is right down the street. There are plenty of very good restaurants within a few minutes walk. It is hard to criticize the hotel, we had minor problem with the air conditioning which the staff fixed the next day. The included breakfast was a bit dull, although quite plentiful. These are minor criticisms though. Frequent tourists in the UK and continental Europe know hotel experiences can be "interesting" to say the least, but we would recommend the Rembrandt to anyone. And the internet price we got was less than we expected for downtown London. All in all, a great experience.

Good location and friendly staff

The location doesn't get much better than this. Unfortunately, the seat of the toilet was in much need of repair, but that was about the only negative I found my stay.

Very pleasant hotel in an upscale neighborhood

Booked a Superior room but the hotel staff upgraded our room and we got an Executive. The room really was exactly as pictured on the hotel's website -- comfortable and understated, and fully refurbished -- and the amenities made our stay a very pleasant one: a jacuzzi in the bathroom, a large and comfortable bed, and even a small terrace. Our room faced a very quiet street. Breakfast is unremarkable but plentiful. The swimming pool, while small, is pleasant and well kept (it'll cost you extra, though). The hotel's location in the heart of Knightsbridge is ideal (a five-minute walk from the South Kensington station). All in all, highly recommended.

Outstanding!

Our experience was great from start to finish. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast buffet food and service was excellent, staff was very helpful in planning and recommending excursions and things to do around town. Hotel is very convenient to South Kensington station, Harrods, V&A museum. Good pubs and restaurants nearby. We will be back!

Great Location; Room way too small.

Pros: Best feature: Ideal location in London. Breakfast included. Cons: Room was way too small by any standard - double bed with one side against a wall! Although a request was made and acknowledged days earlier for early arrival (overnight flight and medical requirements), our request was ignored at check-in. Extra cost for internet access,

Great little hotel for decent London prices

For walkers and museum buffs, this place is ideally located and pretty good for the price. There are a few places to eat nearby that don't cost an arm an a leg (but most of them do...). Some rooms are completely renovated and some are only mostly renovated (i.e. no A/C) -- so 5 stars for room comfort for a room with A/C, 3 otherwise. Carpeted rooms and hallways mask ambient noise so you can get a good night's sleep. Hotel breakfast is also quite decent.
