Dining
- Equus Bar
- As part of our refurbishment, we've completely transformed our bar and lounge area to create the new Equus Bar. With its eclectic fabrics and decor, it recreates the 'gentlemen's club' atmosphere of the hotel's past, and celebrates our rich history with a range of contemporary cocktails named after famous former guests, including the George Bernard Shaw, Lord Kitchener, Winston Churchill and William Gladstone. The Equus Bar menu also includes an extensive selection of non-alcoholic drinks, including our Equus Cola, home-made to a secret recipe, traditional fresh Lemonade, Ginger Beer, Lychee Lemonade and Green Tea Cooler. The bar also serves bar food and light meals
- One Twenty One Two
- For almost 80 years, The Royal Horseguards had the Metropolitan Police as neighbours. They moved to new headquarters in 1967, but we've never forgotten them - or their famous telephone number, Whitehall 1212, which gives our One Twenty One Two Restaurant its name. Winner of two coveted AA Rosette awards for culinary excellence, One Twenty One Two attracts discriminating diners from around the world. With its inviting piano bar, innovative menus, fine wines and exemplary service, it represents the very best in contemporary dining. For smaller parties, we have the adjoining Terrace Room, which provides delightful views over the Thames.
- The Terrace
- Enjoy a drink or a meal on our outdoor Terrace, with the extravagant exterior of The Royal Horseguards - inspired, it's said, by the chateaux of France - providing a stunning backdrop for your mid-morning snack or your Champagne Afternoon Tea.
- The Lounge
- The Lounge at The Royal Horseguards serves tea and coffee all day, as well as light meals including our famous High Tea in the afternoon. An ideal stopping-off point at any time of day.

Exactly right for my purposes
Quiet, A/C works perfectly, service unobtrusive but excellent. The location was perfect, since I was interested in joining as many walking tours as possible and the location so near four tube lines was extremely convenient. They reserved a car and driver to and from the airport for me,which was another great convenience. Whitehall Gardens directly behind the hotel was looking splendid, Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square easy walking distance.

Very pleased with our stay
We stayed at this hotel for the entirety or our week in London. The location is very central with easy access to all of the sights. The hotel rooms are on the small side but clean, modern, and very comfortable. We would certainly go back on a future trip. Recommended for a memorable trip!

Royal Horseguard for the Royal at heart
My husband and I met in London at the Royal Horseguard Resort. We pulled it up online and choose it by the comments left by other visitors. I must said that this resort exceeded our expectations and we didn't want to leave. The staff only added to the value of this place and they treated us like royalty. The resort in located in the middle of "Everything". We walked to dinner locations, shopping, theatres, etc. I (wife) even learned to love tea! Get ready for a really good time....

High quality but impersonal
I had a comfortable and uneventful stay. The staff were efficient but impersonal. My room was functional and sufficient. Unfortuantely I was close to a fire door which made a loud noise after every time someone went through it. The hotel was only a minute or two away from Embankment tube station which suited my reason for coming up to London. Breakfast was fine except the mini croissants seemed rather mean. Overall I had a reasonable stay but do not feel anything exceot convenience would attract me back. Would hope it would be different if I was recognised in future.

Got a great deal on this hotel and it was simply wonderful. From the television in the bathroom to the iPod player, there was a modern aspect to this traditional hotel. Would have no hesitation in going back, especially with the great deal we got.

Luxury Hotel
In searching for a hotel, good air conditioning and either 2 twin beds or a king size bed were must-haves. This hotel has king beds and great air conditioning. The bathroom was very luxurious with 2 pedastal sinks, and a tub/shower combo with a "rain" shower. The room also had a panel of electrical outlets at the desk with U.S. type outlets, however when ours didn't work, the hotel provided a converter/adapter so we were able to charge our camera. The only mildly annoying thing about the room was the lighting - it was necessary to leave a card key in the slot by the door in order for the lights to come on. There are buttons on the wall at each night stand to allow for certain lights to come on - it took awhile to realize you have to "double click" on the button for it to take effect. The concierge service was helpful depending upon who was on duty at any given time - we got conflicting info a couple of times. Also, it's good to remember that when paying for tours or car service through the concierge, there is a commission involved. The closest tube stop is Embankment - about a block and a half away. The hotel is on a very quiet street, so if you like to be right in the thick of shopping and pubs, this may be a bit out of the way.
