Apartment for a four-some
Serviced apartment, booked for four people for just over a week. Space laid out well with full kitchen. But temperature was not controllable. Had to have window/door open most of the time (in rainy December) to be comfortable. Limited (but expected) amenities, but Internet access (wired and wireless) was most useful! Reasonably accessible to the Tube, a bit of a hike (but do-able) to London and Tower bridges.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Visit Borough Market, one of London's oldest and largest food markets. Purchase food to cook or reheat in the apartment kitchen. Or to eat on-site!

Think Twice About Staying Here
This was my first time staying at a serviced apartment, so it was a new experience. The apartment it self was very small it was the one bedroom. It reminded me of a cruise ship as two people could not pass in the hall at once. So I was expecting more space. Remember this is not a hotel and other people/families live in the complex too. So it is noisy with kids playing etc. the building was like a courtyard, so all sounds echoed and the weekends were the worst with noise very late into the night. The good, the price was right and much cheaper than anywhere else I could find. It was great having a kitchen with refrigerator, stove , microwave and saved a lot of money eating there. The other negative was the location. This was 100% residential area. The closest tube stop Bourough was a good 15 minutes away and was a long walk as it was freezing cold. The location even though was central London felt very isolated and far away from the excitement of London. If this is your first trip to London don't stay here, you'd be much happier in a hotel near Picadilly Circus or other major tourist area. In closing, I would stay at another serviced apartment, just not this one.

Take the London Underground, it goes everywhere but it is a bit confusing at first, However, the stations have easy to understand maps. The biggest tip is buy an Oyster Card it will save you a bundle and is so much easier than buying a ticket everytime you ride. it is about 50% cheaper than using a ticket and much easier, you just swipe your card and your done, There is a daily limit of about 7 pounds that means you never pay more than 7 pounds per day to travel, that is the fare cap. If you use tickets there is no fare cap. One ticket costs almost 4.80 pounds. Two rides and your over the 7 pounds daily cap of the Oyster Card which you can use unlimitedly for the whole day.

Perfect for explorers!
The building is in a great location, just minutes from Bermondsey Square, which has a cinema, a market and restaurants. Very close to the tube and Borough Market. The room was quite comfortable, but the bed could have been a bit softer and I wish there was air conditioning. It got very hot at night... For a former Londoner coming back to visit, the place was perfect! Great value for a room that was like a flat.

Great deal for the self sufficient.
* In a nice, fashionable and convenient neighborhood (The border of Borough and Bermondsey) but far from the main tourist sites. You will have to learn to navigate the buses and tubes if you want to do anything. Once you figure this out the town is your oyster (pun intended). * All the appliances one needs are here. You can do your own laundry and you won't have to eat out for every meal. * Rooms are clean, modern looking, and in good shape, however seem a little less luxurious than they did in the photos. It's kind of like staying in an Ikea showroom. * Staff was pleasant and helpful, but sometimes not immediately up to speed on all the ins and outs of the place. The service is reliable but a little less speedy than a full service hotel. Overall they tried hard and did good by us. * There's great views of the city on the upper floors and access to a shared balcony. * This place is a great option for London if you are here more than a few nights, need to save some money, but are not going to stay in a hostel.

Sehr nette Rezeption, was will man mehr!

Besucher für das London Eye sollen erst mal hingehen und schauen wie viele Leute warten, so kann man sich überteuerte Spezialtickets sparen. Wir gingen am Sonntagmorgen hin und konnten gleich einsteigen.
