Great for a short stay in London

Was in London for a friend's birthday party and this hotel offered cheap accomodation, walking distance from the venue......and most importantly, a really comfortable bed! I'd stay again for the odd night in London.

Our trip to London was only an overnighter. We reccommend the on and off tour bus, to get a general view of the city.

The hotel dining, although excellent is expensive. The resturants in Old Street are good and a ten minute walk away

Rooms w/character & a wonderful steam rm

Business travel. Room was always made-up and cleaned. Pool hours are only 6:30a-8:00p. Sausa and steam room are wonderful.

We were given an non a/C room though we booked a delux. safe deposit locker was not working. So we changed the room. A/C unit was not working hair dryer did not work one of the lights near dresser needed a new bulb? Staff did not offer any repairs even for 2nd day.

This is my second visit to the

This is my second visit to the Thistle and I was very disappointed. I had a tiny room. Everything was minimalist and geared up to saving money - horrible old small towels, third rate toiletries. Even the tea bags were rationed. I couldn't have a second cup of tea in my room. On the first day I reported that the door handle to my room fell on the floor in the corridor and needed repairing. They seemed to know about it already, but by the time I left on the third day, it still had not been repaired. This hotel may have four star facilities, but the basic elements are close to two star.
