Perfect spot for long weekend
The location is super, can't fault it one bit. Close to the tube and overlooking Kensington Gardens. A bit of street noise from cars, but a quiet area overall. Staff were very friendly, beds very comfortable, and overall good hotel, would certainly recommend to friends.

1st time to London
What a lovely hotel! We expected that our room would be petite in size b/c it is the European way. We had a double bed and loved our room. So modern and clean! Great tub for soaking weary walking muscles. Brilliant white linens, hot pot for tea and coffee, great view. (If you are an American who has an extra large car and thinks your bedroom needs to be as big as an apartment you are going to whine... but good luck fitting into the toilets in any restaurant, bar or public facility in this city. ) We loved this location! The shoppette located next to the hotel had little sandwiches and salads that we took to Hyde Park, across the street, for lovely little meals. Very pleasant staff- very prompt, helpful and friendly. We loved our stay here!

Perfect Night Away
The hotel was located close to the tube and buss lines. Lots of great places to eat nearby. The staff was very friendly and professional. I do not have any negative comments about our expereince with this hotel. It was as close to perfect as it could be.

place in transition
Location was great near Kensington Garden and close to one of the On/Off bus tour stops. Nice view of the park. Right now is not the time to stay at this hotel due to their renovation project. There is no proper concierge desk and the ground floor access is very awkward with the construction. Requested a non-smoking room with two beds, but given a very smelly smoking room when to one with two beds. The towel heater would have been a nice touch but didn't work. Mildew noted on ceiling above shower. Staff were friendly. However, they asked to see my prepaid statement both at check-in and check-out which was annoying.

Not quite as impressive as the
Not quite as impressive as the web site phot's depict but clean and presentable with an excellent view of Hyde Park. Staff helpful and provided free upgrade. The hotel is well placed for two tube stations so access to the city is very straight forward and a range of shops pubs etc within walking distance. There is some road noise but this is normal for the area. Only downside is the cost of breakfast, £15pp is about on par for other hotels but there are many alternatives within walking distance. Car parking is secure and cheaper than most at £25 per 24 hours.

Generally a good deal
A number of the amenities were lacking or deficient, particularly the air conditioning and the minibar. Additionally, there was no "free" newspaper.

Short walk to Queensway where there are many restaurants, fast foods and groceries, as well as the Underground station. The hotel is also a short walk to Paddington Station (and the express to Heathrow).
