Exellent Location, Rooms , bed and Shower exellent, needs new windows for sound transfewr and heat loss, check in and out was first class. Bar meals were very slow and was not good value.

I have stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The location was WONDERFUL. I could get from the airport to the hotel by using the underground (Marble Arch station is just 1 minute walk away from the hotel) and thus saving a lot of money not having to pay for a taxi. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff was very courteous. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel (I noticed the long lines of people waiting to enter the dining room), but there are lots of coffee shops on Oxford street which have nice breakfasts at a reasonable price. To sum up - I will stay there again the next time I'm in London.

Great location...that's all you're paying for.
Hotel staff is indifferent. Concierge has good attitude, but that's it. Bar staff needs training in learning to be polite.

This was an O.K. hotel. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of foods and the food was good. This is an old hotel, "historic". The room was clean, and beds sleep well; however, the carpet in the halls in front of the elevators needed replacing. Wake up calls went well. The business center only has 2 computers and it closed at 4:30 PM. The only way to get in the center after 4:30 pm was to have the security guard open the room. This was an inconvenience. I needed to print a boarding pass and was unable to because after I got the guard to open the room I found out that the Internet connection was down. I went to the the hotel across the street which allowed me to access the Internet for free if I bought food. The room price was too high for what the hotel offered. The location was good. The next time I would stay in the Best Western across the street.

The Big Bus is a great way to get around and see the sights. You can get discount tickets on the Internet . It stops running at 6 PM. It you get on the bus after 12 PM you can use the ticket the next day since it is a 24 hour ticket.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and was really excited to be staying there again - the location is perfect for shopping and getting around London, but the section of the hotel I was placed in was being renovated so the noise of construction started at 9am every morning. This is not good when you are on vacation, especially when this room was an upgrade.

Less than expected
Upgraded to suite for extra 30 GBP per night because it included access to an executive lounge which provided a "full English Breakfast" every morning. What was provided was a Continental breakfast buffet that often was not stocked. Concierge not very helpful in dining our recommendations. Staff friendly. Location good primarily for shopping.

Comfort and friendliness galore
The staff at the Thistle Marble Arch bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They made our stay in London a delight, since the suite was well decorated, the bathroom clean and well stocked with toiletries, and the staff more than happy to help us with our luggage. I will definitely go backto this hotel when I go back to London, if at all possible.

There are many different restaurants close by. We sampled English and Italian cuisine, but there were also many mid-eastern and Indian restaurants within a short walk of the hotel.

Great Location
My daughter and I have stayed at the Thistle Marble Arch before our recent trip (7/07) and we were happy with the location and the rooms. I noticed this time around though that most of the staff did not speak English as well as expected and it was difficult to understand them. If you want to shop, this is a perfect location as its around the corner from Oxford Street and most buses are within a block or two of the hotel. Keep in mind though, Oxford Street is very, very crowded every day. The last time we stayed here was December 2005 and the crowds were just as large.

Tolles Hotel in der City
Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt, ideale Lage, beim Hotelausgang gleich um die Ecke die Oxfordstreet mit Geschäften und Pubs, nur 200m zur U-Bahn Station Marble Arch, 20 Min. zu Fuss bis Piccadilly Circus, sehr grosses, trotzdem familiäres und tolles Hotel, für Londoner Verhältnisse ein schönes und gut ausgestattetes Zimmer zum Innenhof, ruhig, im 8. Stock mit Aussicht über die Dächer, Zimmer tiptop eingerichtet, sauber, Klimaanlage mit Heizung, guter Service, sehr freundliches Personal (thank you Mrs Onjuna), reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, angenehme Lobby, gemütliche Bar, gratis Gepäcklagerung am Anreisetag und am Abreisetag. Bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt werden wir wieder im Hotel Tristle Marble Arch logieren :-))
