Aesthetically pleasing, tucked away in the heart of the City, welcoming and helpful staff, comfortable room. The only slight falling away was the minimalist breakfast room and too-loud music; however, the New York breakfast of waffles, berries, bacon and maple syrup was memorable.

This hotel is at a perfect location a few minutes walk from Bank tube station. Its rooms were fantastic and the service faultless.

There are so many good things to say about this hotel but I'll start with two very small and perhaps pedantic negatives; the lighting in the rooms, particularly the bathroom, could be better and on our first morning somebody was hoovering the corridor at 8.30 a.m. Those small points aside (the hoovering issue was dealt with my the amazing front of house team) I cannot praise this hotel enough. A 5 star rating is perfection and this hotel is more 4 and-a-half rather than 4. The location is excellent with Bank and Monument stations only a few minutes walk away. Rooms are a great size, particularly the bathroom (I stayed in room 117) and are extremely comfortable and spotless with great facilities. As part of our New Year booking we were giving 2 complimentary cocktails that were excellently made in the lovely bar by a friendly Spanish barman (whose name eludes me). We forgot to print off our confirmation for a new Year's party that we were attending so the front-of-house staff kindly printed them off for us for no extra charge. All-in-all the staff could not have been friendlier and more attentive. I differentiate a good hotel from a standard one by measuring the little differences; attentive and smiling staff, complimentary newspapers, complimentary bottles of water...Threadneedles had them all. I whole-heartedly recommend this hotel. Great location, great rooms, great staff and a great experience.

Stayed in this Financial District hotel with my boyfriend over the Christmas period. We both really enjoyed the hotel. The lobby is beautiful with a 24 hr "honesty bar" so that you can sip champagne beneath the giant stained glass dome in the ceiling. For £3 more, you can drink the same champagne in your bath tube with strawberries and cream! The location OK - it is close to St Paul's and London bridge, right behind the stock exchange, and there is easy access to the tube (Bank), but because it is the financial district, it is not in the center of London's nightlife (caveat is that this was over Christmas). It is a 5-10 min walk from the Thames. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Shower was fantastic, bath products high quality and the bed super comfortable. I highly recommend the hotel and would certainly stay here again.

my stay at this hotel was amazing very close to Bank station with access to nice restaurants. The room was very spacious (new furniture) and very clean, the bed was quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. All these at fair good price for a 5 star hotel.

This was such a lucky find. I had selected it because of the close proximity to business I was doing. The music when I walked in was what first got me. The staff and management were friendly and efficient down to knowing bus routes, printing out maps and knowledge of shop hours. The room was lovely and I dug the offer of strawberries and champagne with my bath. This hotel is just what the hotel group promises - Unique.Chic.Boutique. I highly recommend it and will be back!!!

Hotel was lovely, rooms spotless. Tv didn't work unfortunately in the room, but plenty of extra touches to make up for it like tv in the bathroom, still sparkling water and ice waiting on the bedside.

London is always expensive and you don't get value for money. However, this is one of the better ones
