An extraordinarily good find
Didn't really know Bethnal Green before I came here and it was a surpirse to find such a glamorous hotel in perhaps not the most glamorous of locations. The room was amazing - great for being in as well as a base for London in general - close to tube station too. Excellent standards of design, space and staff. We also got to enjoy the cocktail bar which was quite unique and although we didn't eat there, the michelin starred restaurant looked good too. If you're looking for a mixture of luxury, style and also practicality (the room was an apartment with a kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher etc...) then this is a great place for you and not horrifically expensive either. Possibly the only missing link was the lack of a bath vs just a showrer - there was room for one. Make sure you check out Broadway market too, and the Childhood Museum (the museum shop at least is woirth a visit) nearby.

Great Hotel in an offbeat location
Stayed at this hotel during the Summer Olympics and was very happy! We had a 2 bedroom apartment which gave us plenty of room to spread out. Located in the Bethnal Green area which was close to the Olympic Park but not in downtown London. Hotel is only 2 blocks from the Underground. Area seems to be up and coming. Felt safe walking to and from tube no matter the time of day or night. I would definitely recommend it!

Diamond in an odd location
If you have business in the City in London, it's hard to beat this hotel. It is not on the well-traveled path, however, and if you are not comfortable in one of London's largely immigrant communities, it may not be for you. But look beyond that, and you will be treated to a hotel experience that usually comes with a much stiffer price. The kicker is the restaurant, which is absolutely superb. The other end of Bethnal Green Road is already home to pricey bistros and pretty people. With the quality of the staff, the service and the food, you should give the Town Hall a serious look. And if you go, ask them to show you round the original council chambers. This is a quality remodel of a listed historic building.

A fantastic hotel in a rundown neighborhood
I stayed at the Town Hall Hotel & Apartments in the Bethnal Green area of London in September 2011. While the surrounding neighborhood is noticeably rundown and low-end, the hotel itself is completely the opposite. This renovated town hall has a very elegant look to it. The 1 bedroom apartment in which I stayed was very up to date and bright. Everything was very comfortable, particularly the huge bathtub. The apartments come with kitchens, complete with stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and sink. The spacious bathroom had a very large bathtub with shower, and a washer/dryer combo. The room's come with a safe to protect valuables, and each night we'd return to our cleaned room where truffles were waiting for us. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the Bethnal Green underground stop on the Central Line. The nearest major London attraction is St. Paul's Cathedral which is three or four stops away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge, Pablo, assisted us in making sure a taxi was available at 4:30am to go to the St. Pancras station to take the Eurorail to Paris for the day. At the end of our stay Pablo assisted us in printing out our boarding passes for quick check-in at the airport. They did charge us 75 pounds per day for an extra bed, which I felt was pricey. But overall it was a pleasant experience, and I would stay there again. Through Orbitz the evening rate was a very affordable $150, which is amazing for a place right in London with these sort of amenities. The hotel has a very posh restaurant and bar called Viajante (traveler), as well as more comfortable dining room.

Great hotel close to the tube
The hotel was minutes from the train station. When we arrived a nice guy by the name of [...] helped my husband and I. He showed us where to go and how to get there. The room itself was great. It was an apartment fully stocked with dishes, gourmet coffee, milk for tea, even washer and dryer. The decor was nicely done and the bed was very comfortable. The amenities were very nice. The gym is very modern with the latest equiptment and the pool was a nice touch. [...] was the other guy at the reception desk. He too was very helpful. All in all the staff as a whole was friendly . The hotel itself was amazing. We will definitely go back and I highly recommend to everyone.
