Wigmore Court Hotel

Very poorly kept hotel. Filthy. Old. Only nice thing ist location, staff that serves breakfast in a cute littel place. Breakfast ok.

The Wigmore Court Hotel is a comfortable budget hotel. Rooms are small but well furnished and daily housekeeping is done to a high standard. The included full English breakfast is better than the continental breakfasts offered at many similar hotels, although the serving hours (8:00-9:30 AM) could start earlier for the convenience of travelers on the move. There are markets, pubs and restaurants all around, with a concentration of Middle Eastern establishments on nearby Edgware Road. The location is OK--within a 5-minute walk of three underground stations served by multiple lines, making it possible to reach almost anywhere with a single change, and with easy access to rail services. Paddington Station is a bit further away--a 10-15 minute walk, especially if lugging suitcases, which older or less fit travelers or those with families should consider. The hotel also has NO LIFT. Overall, though, a well-run, pleasant hotel an a good base of operations for visitors to London.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Answered all our questions and made calls for us. The hotel is about a 4-5 block walk to the tube or On/Off bus tours. No elevator so have to climb stairs to most of the rooms. The breakfast was good every morning. Small but nice rooms and descent beds. I would go there again and some of the guests were returnees. Price paid was good compared to other travelors' cost and the location was not a bad one at all.

Stayed at the Wigmore Court Hotel for two nights when in London. The room was small, but the sheets and towels were clean and in good condition. Breakfast was provided the next morning at no additional charge. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs.

The hotel room was on the ground floor, which seem like a basement, on entering the room the odor was unpleasant, not stink just old, not refreshing, like a place thats being locked up a very long time, once I got past that, the room is big and clean, the decor is fine and the bathroom very updated. The down side is we could not sleep because EVERY STEP THAT EVERY ONE TOOK UP STAIRS WE COULD HEAR, I MEAN EVERY ONE, EVERY STEPS and this was all night, because the location is great so people were in and out all hours of the night. It was a place to shelter not to sleep, so my daughter who was celebrating her 21st birthday and I slept on the tour buses. If anyone choose this hotel,make sure its not a room on the ground floor,that is called the 1st floor.

Cons about this place: drabby boring decore it takes about 10 min for the water in the shower to get warm let alone hot tv in room had no reception Pros about this place: complimentary WIFI, and breakfast cheap

only stayed one night was attending a charity ball. the location was ideal the room clean and comfortable and the staff pleasant and friendly. well pleased for the money

I needed a place to shower and lay my head at night and this was a great place for that. Everything was clean which I appreciated. This is a no frills hotel which some might not like, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The one thing I did not like was the breakfast was served from 8-9:30 and I left in the morning earlier than this more often than not. The location was great, close to shopping and the tube. I would stay here again.

perfect location in the west end: close to undergrounds;lots of shopping and dining w/in walking distance; was my first trip to london and i wanted a "quaint" hotel- this was exactly what i wanted w the exeption of my room being very hot, due to it's location on the top floor (around 8); perhaps a fan would've been helpful, but it wasn't a big deal (and i didn't want anything americanized) i loved it!

comfortable small room with good english breakfast (not the sausages!) Would definitely stay there again
