Good value place to stay

The hotel building itself was incredible, with sweeping staircases and chandaliers. The room was clean and comfortable, though the walls were quite thin so may be best to bring some earplugs just in case! Overall, for the price I paid (£25) this hotel was good value in a really good location near Picadilly train station and main shops.

Great central position.

I love this hotel because it's full of character. The Brittania has been very grand in it's day and still has some original features, which include a huge, sweeping staircase that goes up from the ground floor, right to the top of the hotel. Considering that it is central to everything that Manchester has to offer, this hotel is very reasonably priced.

Nightlife tip: In Hotel

There is a bar/club/restaurant attached to the hotel. The bar/club is open until after 2pm during the weekend. If you prefer to venture further, there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the same road as the hotel.

christmas party stay over

we arrived 20 mins before check in time, we had no hold ups and gave us the key to our room, which was very clean, the only grumble was that only one lamp was working in the room which made it a bit gloomy, apart from that the beds were very comfortable and we had a pleasant stay

Not bad

This hotel has a beautifull interrier but rooms are not comfort. It is not bad hotel but for one night. I was travelling through the UK and I was walking in Manchester till late evening. And I didn't spend a lot of time at this hotel. Location is very good.

Birthday Awayday

Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Everywhere was clean although a bit tired. The room was quite small considering we upgraded to a superior double, an ordinary double must be like a shoe box. The bar staff were happy, cheerful and pleasant. A good nights sleep and all in all a comfortable stay.

awful

Was told upgraded to a deluxe room for £10 extra this was an utter joke there was nothing deluxe about any aspect of this hotel. The room was tiny and beyond shabby with broken plug sockets and furniture. The windows were about 8 ft in the air so you couldnt reach to open them made worse by the whole hotel smelling like macaroni cheese!! The service was questionable and we were made to feel like intruders rather than paying guests.
